Established in Taisho 13. The third generation preserves the time-honored flavors of this restaurant specializing in chicken dishes, particularly yakitori. We mainly use Hinai-jidori from Akita Prefecture, one of Japan’s three great regional chicken breeds. Each skewer is carefully prepared and slowly grilled over charcoal. We constantly focus on the quality, freshness, and breed of our chicken, as well as the quality of domestic rice, vegetables, and seasonings, striving to offer something better. Learning from the past to discover the new. While remaining true to the flavors worth preserving, we continually seek out and incorporate new techniques and dishes. Our signature yakitori features not only our secret sauce but also exquisite homemade balsamic sauce, rock salt, and aromatic condiments, with seasonings chosen to enhance each cut of chicken. Awesome little place specializing in oyakodon (rice bowl with chicken and egg). Pretty simple lunch menu where prices vary on the different cuts of chicken. I got the basic one with thigh and egg which only came to 1000 yen. Filling, cozy, and great value.
View on GoogleThe foods are delicious and the seating area is spacious! The price is not bad, 1000 yen for one bowl of meal. I enjoyed the food very much! There’s no English menu tho
View on GoogleFood was very tasty - meat tasted very fresh, had freshly ground pepper to season our food, and the oyakodon was yummy. Staff were a little apprehensive with foreigners or tourists. For tourists, keep in mind that there’s typically about cover fee of around 500, and you have to order at least one drink per person (alcoholic or non alcoholic). Our bill was around 2750 each for dinner for three people.
View on GoogleWe ordered and ordered more from out first floor bar seats. At first we weren’t sure whether they welcomed tourists, but I think the main griller knows more English than he initially lets on. Try the parts of the chicken you don’t see as often, ie neck, heart cartilage. Don’t sleep on the homemade pate and fried lotus root
