讃岐うどん かのふやKanofu-ya
For udon and lunch in the Taito-ku (Minowa) area, visit "Sanuki Udon Kanou-ya". This canteen, which has continued since the Taisho era, became a specialty udon restaurant in 1994. It is Sanuki udon that focuses on umami, using natural dashi from Setouchi dried sardines and Hokkaido kelp, and homemade noodles. In addition to the standard menu, please enjoy the udon of "Kanou-ya", which is also introduced in overseas guidebooks, utilizing various ingredients based on Japanese cooking techniques cultivated in the canteen, such as udon using seasonal ingredients. We offer a wide range of menus including standard tanuki/kitsune udon, other seasonal udon, as well as alcohol and a la carte dishes. Please feel free to stop by, from individuals to families...

Ordered the beef curry udon and the fried vegetables udon. The beef curry udon is really spicy that the curry is intense. Well mixture between the curry and the original udon soup. The beef chunks are with great quality. That’s just and tender. The udon is tender and simply satisfying especially for a cold night. The fried vegetables is okay, but nothing special. The owners are very friendly and willing to recommend and provide apron for curry beef.
View on GoogleAbsolutely delicious food and a beautiful restaurant. The couple running it were lovely. Even our 1 year old ate some of the udon. The lady even washed our tupperware where my daughter's food was - we felt like we just had a delicious dinner at grandma's.
View on GoogleHad a pleasant experience eating here, the owners are accomadating and also explain where to put the seasoning on some udon items. The place is also cozy and comfortable. They also have english in their menu, thought thrs just around 7 to 8 items on their menu but the food is really good.
View on GoogleIf you are looking for a place to have a warm, hot broth with cozy vibes, Kanou-ya is your place. Excellent curry beef udon noodles. With Asahi biru on the side :)
View on GoogleDelicious Udon! The owner is an old guy who does everything himself. I ordered the Kanoya Udon, the soup and noodles were really nice and the mushroom was super yummy, love it!
