There is a reason why certain chain restaurants survive and thrive. Kani Douraku is one of those restaurants that never miss! Personally not a big fan of crab but the crab dishes here really seem to appeal to any palette and age group. Perfect for family gatherings and friends. Service is also impeccable 👏 Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleI can say if one would like to try a crab meal, this is the place for the ‘package’. This is the classic restaurant where a guest can get good service and good food. Most importantly, the location is ‘perfect’. One can make reservation via google too. Just one thing to pick hole: when I arrived and told the receptionist my reservation, the two staff (a lady and a gentleman in suits) hesitated to show me my table, pointing at my name on the table log (making me like I’m just a walk-in guest) and both talked to each other in Japanese, looking serious (other than welcoming)…. I’m not saying I have to see myself as an VIP, yet, this did affect my dining experience as a guest who’d been looking forward to the dinner for days. All in all, it is recommended.
View on GoogleOur last meal in Japan was a memorable one at this renowned chain restaurant, where we indulged in a full set crab meal—something we knew we'd miss once back home. The Hokkaido crab did not disappoint; it was exceptionally flavorful, and the restaurant showcased its versatility by preparing it in various styles. From the appetizers to the raw crab meat, deep-fried crab, and finally the crab rice, each dish was spot on. The meal was thoroughly enjoyable without being overwhelming, a testament to the chef's skill in creating diverse flavors from the same ingredient. A perfect end to our trip, leaving us with delicious memories. Five stars all the way!
View on GoogleThis is an exceptional restaurant where all the crab-based dishes are prepared with remarkable attention to detail. The service was impeccable, with a person in traditional Japanese attire preparing our fondue directly at our table, adding a personal and authentic touch to our meal. 😍 The restaurant’s ambiance is warm and welcoming, with traditional decor that enhances the dining experience. The dishes, such as kani-suki, kani tempura, and kani kamameshi, were all delicious. 👌 Every aspect of our visit, from the service to the quality of the dishes, was perfect. Next to the cash register you will find take-away products 🦀 such as crab crackers, crab soy sauce broth, crab paste and vinegar.
View on GoogleMy wife and I hosted a dinner gathering with visitor from Canada. We booked a private room. The dinner set was really delicious and everyone has had a great time. The crab dinner set at Kani douraku is always a good place to go for crab lover.
