We found this café because our holiday house was nearby, and it turned out to be one of our favorite places during our trip. What we were looking for was simple: no touristy or overly fancy cafés—just an authentic local place for breakfast. We came across this café by chance and fell in love with it immediately. It was incredibly cozy, and there was always something delicious to choose from. The staff were so kind and helpful, especially since we couldn't read or understand everything on the menu. They made us feel very welcome. If I could, I would have breakfast here every single day. It became one of those places that made our stay in Japan feel so special. Now that I'm back in Germany, I really miss Japanese café and restaurant culture, and I often think back to this lovely place. Thank you for making our mornings so memorable. I would happily come back anytime! 🤍🇯🇵
View on GoogleWe were heading to a diffrent place for pancakes, but they were closed for no reason, so this was the plan B. The retro style cafe, seems lots of seats inside, relaxed , and quiet. We were seated quickly, looked through the menu, decided to have pancakes of course ( here it's written "Hotcakes ") I had simple ones, my husband had a banana ones. One thing I noticed was they didn't restrict for one drink policy which a lot of places do in Japan. The pancakes were relatively small but firmer texture which I love, and hint of sweetness, really enjoyed them. They decorated with 3 blobs of whipped cream which looked sad. I didn't think they need it. my husband ones had sprinkles which kids would like. The customers seemed locals, some even chatted with waitress, more of a community place. No rush, time passes slowly here. As we were sitting there, I heard one of the waitress offered a throw for the customer's comfort. how nice! we wish we had this cafe close to our home. One negative thing was the mens bathroom. my husband said they smelled really bad.
View on GoogleOld style venue. Quaint and delightful. Venue full of old Edo character and local characters sat eating breakfast. Staff are so polite. A real local find just a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle. Very inexpensive.
View on GoogleWonderful atmosphere and I love the old arcade style table tops. The customer service was top notch. The food was fulfilling and very delicious.
View on GoogleAMAZING! Honestly, it’s worth coming all the way across Tokyo for. It’s the grand classic. So much fun, the ladies are so nice. I suggest come quite early. What about 1030 to have your coffee. I like to get some toast and a boiled egg, you’ll easily see it on the English menu. This place is famous for a reason, it’s just marvelous, and we have to hope it never changes. Good news- if you happen to have a LARGE group of 10+, you can come here without problem when it’s not too busy. There are plenty of large tables. This is extremely unusual so enjoy it! What a gem, or I should say what a joy.
