The environment is comfortable, and the chef tastes every bowl of ramen to ensure the broth flavor is consistent.
View on GoogleFantastic ramen. It's packed even at 9pm, which speaks a lot actually. Broth is rich and flavourful, noodles are chewy and bouncy, and a bonus is that their gyozas are fantastic too!
View on GoogleAs a tourist, I’m so glad I chose this local spot instead of waiting in line for one of the famous restaurants. The service was wonderful, and I loved sitting at the counter watching the chef prepare each bowl of ramen. The wok, the flames, and the aroma were absolutely irresistible. I’m sure I didn’t follow all the proper customs when entering or leaving, but the staff were kind and patient, serving delicious food with a warm smile. I truly enjoyed the experience!
View on GoogleThis place rules - just go - you won’t be disappointed. I was looking for thick broth and spicy. Order outside at the machine. No line when I arrived then filled up. I got the Tekkamen and Gyoza. Spicy but viable. Amazing.
View on GoogleMy wife and I both enjoyed the tastiest Hokkaido Ramen in Tokyo. The hard working chefs were very kind and friendly from the moment we entered at 11:00am. We both ordered miso butter corn ramen and a plate of 5 gyoza. The rich broth was full of flavour and the crisp noodles were cooked to perfection. An excellent combination of wakame, bean sprouts, corn, bamboo, pork and a block of butter filled my bowl. Very satisfied on a wet morning in Ueno. We will definitely return to try their other authenthic Hokkaido ramen. Believe me the reality was better than the photos.
