Just a minute's walk from Matsuzakaya, this place is overflowing with mushrooms! lol I've never had so many different kinds of mushrooms in my life, let alone all at once. It's fun to enjoy two different flavored hot pots while also creating your own custom dipping sauce from a wide selection of ingredients! Seafood sauce, seafood soy sauce, black vinegar, ponzu, sugar, spicy Sichuan pepper, sesame sauce, garlic, green onions...etc. You can make countless original sauce combinations to enjoy! (They also recommend some sauces for you.) The staff are all Chinese, so communication in Japanese can be a bit challenging at times. However, ordering is done via QR code, so it generally goes smoothly without any major issues. (When I tentatively asked if I could order hot tea, it took a while to get through. After a pause, they finally understood and said, "...Sure! 😃" It might have been an impromptu service, but I was grateful it actually came out hot! 🙌) As winter approaches, I think it's the season when we start craving hot pots and warm dishes. If you love mushrooms, want to warm up, or enjoy healthy meals, definitely give this place a try!
View on GoogleTheir vegetarian/ vegan mushroom hot pot is amazing. So many different varieties is mushroom, super tasty with a side of green veg, egg-free noodles and tofu. Sauces available with soy, garlic, greens safe for vegans. A huge win for vegans and vegetarians in a city of fish and meat.🙃 It is a little confusing to find, need to take the lift to the 3rd floor, white sign out front. Staff are Chinese speaking but used a phone to translate when needed. Also a bit $$ compared to other Japanese food, was $70 for 2 of us to share a pot, but we got loads of food! Worth it.
View on GoogleGreat vegetarian hot pot with so many amazing mushrooms, tofu, greens and noodles. Huge portion of food and worth the price. I don’t speak Japanese, and although the waitress was very busy, she was so welcoming and used translator on her phone to help us order. We really appreciated this.
View on GoogleA hidden gem and 100% worth the visit - especially if you don’t eat meat. The mushroom hot pot was incredible. The service was brilliant too, the server could tell I was struggling with the Japanese menu and was so helpful. Extra bonus, I left my AirPods there by mistake, when I came back that evening to find them not only did the waiter have them waiting for me, he had also charged them! Incredible!
