[The world's first shop originating transparent tonkotsu ramen!] This is 'Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen Ichiban Ueno Okachimachi Main Store' located in Ueno, Tokyo, right near Okachimachi Station. Our transparent tonkotsu soup offers a taste that is unique in all of Japan. Thin noodles with a comfortable texture harmonize perfectly with the clear yet deep tonkotsu soup, and the thinly sliced rare char siu further highlights the taste. What is worth noting is the motsunabe-style vegetable assortment. This is our revolutionary dish, and it is perfect for those who want to eat plenty of vegetables! Access to our shop located in Ueno, Taito-ku is very convenient. Exit from the North Exit of JR Okachimachi Station, and near the lottery ticket booth under the JR tracks and Kamo to...

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen Ichiban was an excellent place to experience authentic Hakata-style ramen in Tokyo. The tonkotsu broth was rich, creamy, and full of deep pork flavor without feeling too heavy or overwhelming. You could immediately taste the long cooking process behind the soup, and it paired perfectly with the thin Hakata-style noodles. The chashu was tender and flavorful, the egg was perfectly cooked, and the overall balance of the bowl felt very satisfying. I also liked that the ramen kept a very traditional style instead of trying to be overly modern or complicated. Everything felt authentic and focused on quality. The restaurant itself had a cozy local atmosphere with quick and efficient service. Even during busy hours, the staff handled everything smoothly and the food arrived very fast. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality and portion size. If you enjoy classic tonkotsu ramen with a rich and comforting flavor, this is definitely a great spot to visit in the Ueno and Okachimachi area.

We got here around 7pm and the place was already packed so we knew this was going to be good. It took around 15 minutes of wait time to get our party of 6 in. In the meantime we were given iced tea while we waited. The staff was amazing and helped us order and kept up a fun conversation while we were eating. Just a side note, we saw that the staff pulled out a massive amount of pork and bones out of the broth. That means that this ramen was the real deal with an unbelievable umami flavor. I've seen many places take shortcuts with their broth but this shop does ramen the right way. On top of that the prices seemed to be aimed at locals and was not the sky high tourist pricing. This shop is a true hidden gem in the vast culinary ocean of Tokyo.

I really enjoyed this place! Had the pork broth ramen for ¥800 and it was delicious, hot and just the right size. The broth was flavorful, not salty and just the right balance of umami. Seating on the first floor is at the open kitchen bar area so you can watch your meal being prepared with care. The staff was very friendly and helped us get seats for 4 (they asked another customer to slide down). Ordering your meal is easy and done at the ticket machine in front. The atmosphere was really nice with good air conditioning and Japanese folk / retro music in the background. Both made for a pleasant experience. Would definately come back here!!

This is a serious Japanese place, no jokes. The staff is politely efficient, no nonsense. The ramen is like what grandma would make when you stop by looking worn out a bucket of veggies, shut up and eat. The price is more than fair. Would I go back? Obviously, yes! Would I recommend it? Of course! Recommended by Gianni from Mia Mia café (check out other reviews), thanks Gianni!

Came in the summer for lunch, hot day but no line. They serve cold tea and ice water so that was a relief. But the reviews are true, the ramen, pork, broth, everything was spot on yummy. But the best part of this place, unlimited mentaiko for $10 Ramen! Best meal!
