My buddy and I were looking for a place that would have meat and veggies for dinner. We ordered the beef stew, asparagus salad and hamburger plate. The stew was amazing! Delicious, complex and rich in flavor. Veggies were very fresh with what seemed like a type of mayonnaise drizzled on top. Rice was perfect, we got two servings. We also ordered the beef hash rice, and it to was very good. Atmosphere is very cozy! Whole place only seats 8 people. You must try this if you’re looking for something complex and delicious. We just spent 3 weeks traveling Japan and this was our favorite meal of the trip.

Found this place through tablelog and it truly lives up to its popularity. The place is quite small but we came on a weekday so there was almost no wait. The beef stew was decadent and complex in flavour. The tender beef and fat melts in your mouth without any chewing. The hamburg steak was also delicious for its price. The buttered toast was also enjoyable, the texture of the bread was fluffy and crispy at the same time. Extremly highly recommend this place, would come back to Asakusa specifically for this place 🤤 There is also an english/chinese/korean menu for foreigners too so no worries about language barrier

Very small shop. Counter 8 pax and 2x 4-seater tables. Open for lunch n dinner. Weekends, better check if open for dinner before going down. Food may all be sold out during lunch. Dinner opening hours may be delayed till 530pm. First come first serve system, cant take reservation. Location is within residential area, not easily accessible from any stations. Prepare to walk about 15mins from Ginzal line- Tawaramachi Staion. Must try: beef stew, tongue stew or mixed stew. Onion soup. Homemade toast. Above should fill u up nicely. Cost about 5000yen. Food taste: 4/5⭐️ Service: 3/5 dont expect michelin service. Lady owner can be your grandma. Ambience: Old and small set up. Kids friendly: 2/5 Dont bring ur infan or toddlers unless they are super quiet n well behaved. No space for your prams. May disturb other patrons dining.

You must try this beef stew, it was simply the best we had in life! The old lady and her daughter are super kind, small restaurant but you can see the love there! Will come back next time we visit Tokyo.
