If you are searching for an truly exceptional dining experience in Tokyo, look no further than GONIA KURAMAE. I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this brilliant French restaurant in Taito City last night, and it completely exceeded every single one of my expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, the warm, modern, and intimately lit atmosphere set the perfect tone for a relaxed yet highly sophisticated evening. The hospitality was simply outstanding; the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive without being intrusive, and made sure every detail of our meal was flawless from start to finish. The culinary journey was nothing short of spectacular, with each plate acting as a masterclass in both visual presentation and refined flavor. We started with an incredibly decadent dish featuring a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg generously blanketed in fresh, earthy shaved truffles. It was a luxurious, unforgettable bite that immediately showcased the chef's immense dedication to high-quality ingredients and beautifully balanced textures. The seafood course was another undeniable highlight—a wonderfully tender, thick cut of white fish served in a vibrant, rich bouillon that carried an incredible depth of savory flavor. But the meat courses completely stole the show. The roasted meat dish was cooked to a flawless, tender pink, seasoned perfectly with cracked black pepper that provided just the right amount of culinary kick. Following that, the steak was a true work of art: expertly seared to absolute perfection with an irresistible crust, yielding to a wonderfully juicy, melt-in-your-mouth medium-rare center. To complement the rich flavors of the meal, we enjoyed a gorgeous bottle of Marie-Louise Parisot Bourgogne Pinot Noir. The service team's attention to our dining pacing and drinks was stellar, and the wine elevated the savory notes of the dishes beautifully. To finish the night, the dessert was absolute perfection—a rich, dense, and deeply flavorful dark chocolate base topped with a refreshing scoop of ice cream and delightful sweet crumbles that perfectly cut through the richness. GONIA KURAMAE is a true culinary gem. The impeccable service, elegant ambiance, and masterful French cuisine make it an unforgettable destination. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and I am already eagerly anticipating my next visit!

We had a wonderful experience at Gonia Kuramae. We arrived late after landing in Tokyo, but they still warmly welcomed us and served us with great kindness. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. A lovely lady dining there kindly helped us translate the menu, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The chef was also very generous and surprised us with dessert to celebrate my husband and son’s birthdays. It made our evening even more special. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and memorable experience.

We were very hungry after visiting the Tokyo skytree and stumbled upon this restaurant while trying to get back home. We arrived there at 10PM and they were still serving food. It's a very small and cozy restaurant that has that "fancy" feeling. The staff don't really speak English and there is no English menu, but we managed in the end thanks to Google translate and another customer who helped translate. We had 3 main courses and all 3 were amazing. The portions of the main courses are very big and will fill you up. In the end we paid around$ 100 for 3 main courses and two soft drinks. Highly recommend if you want to experience a different type of dining while in Tokyo.

Amazing restaurant with exemplary food. The chef takes care of you and guides you through a inspiring discovery of your senses. As an Argentinian there are not many places were you can find good meat. This is one of them. We went twice in our five day trip to Tokyo. It was that good.
