Assorted sashimi was great. Authentic Japanese food prepared quickly.
View on GoogleFood was ok. We ordered karaake, unagi bowl and yakitori bowl. Unagi bowl was served with a piece of grilled unagi and rice. The unagi was medium size, taste wise 3/5. But we found the chicken on yakitori bowl wasn't fully cooked so we told the staff and they grilled a new skewer for us. Karaage was good 4/5. Staffs are nice.
View on GoogleVery good place for unagi and skewered chicken, but other options are iffy. The fish broth was too intensely fishy/salty and tuna sashimi was grisly. (My mistake to order sashimi in a broiled eel place, but why even have it on the menu?!) Small 1st floor, but private tatami rooms on 2nd floor seat 6 or more diners.

View on GoogleThis is the 3rd 鮒忠 location I have visited (花川戸・京成立石). I came in around the start of lunch service. The interior is fairly spacious, with table and counter seating and a calm atmosphere. The menu choices seem to be limited during lunch. I ordered the チキンカツ set meal and 2 pieces of 唐揚げ separately. It was ready after about 10 minutes. The チキンカツ was freshly fried, piping hot, and delicious. The problem was the 唐揚げ. I appreciated the fairly large size, but biting into them, they did not seem cooked all the way through; both pieces were clearly pink inside. Undercooked chicken is not acceptable… A nearby customer eating the 唐揚げ set meal was happily munching away, so I somehow managed to finish mine too. (I felt fine afterward.) Perhaps because it was early and there were few customers, a kitchen staff member even started openly fiddling with a smartphone right in front of me, still in cooking attire. I am not saying never touch it, but please do it somewhere customers cannot see. The woman serving customers left a reasonably good impression.
