Such an incredible and lovely spot! We had a very lovely and memorable meal here. The teriyaki tofu was seriously amazing - very tender and flavorful. Everything was delicious and crafted with such love, care and attention from the gracious owner. She was so sweet and her presence (along with the presence of the sweet and gentle Millfy, pictured) elevated our experience. 100% recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a beautifully cooked & presented meal in Tokyo! P.S. happy 10th birthday to Millfy!
View on GoogleWe had an amazing experience with Fujifuku. The owner was incredible and very open to explaining the dishes to us as foreigners. Despite the potential language barrier, we felt incredibly welcomed and guided through the meal. The food was delicious, comforting, and homey. The menu is on the pricier side compared to other options, but I considered it more of an experience of Japanese fine dining with a brilliant vegan twist rather than a "just eat to feel full" kind of place (though for some it may be a lot, biggest course is 6-7 dishes). For anyone looking for high-quality plant-based options in Japan, this is a hidden gem. Please note that the owner runs this place entirely on her own. Before you book, you need to consider that you might wait a bit, as she prepares, serves, and manages everything by herself. Only 10 courses a day are prepared – so if you really want to experience it, please just make a reservation instead of complaining later! It is worth every minute and every yen. Thank you for having us!
View on GoogleOne of the few vegan places in the neighbourhood. I had a great time eating here! Owner is very nice and tries her best to communicate with tourists. Everything is handmade and she only serves 10 meals a day. There was a relaxed atmosphere when I dined there since I was the only customer that evening. By the entrance you're greeted by Millfy, an old chihuahua who serves as promotion manager. The food was incredible, especially the tofu steak with the homemade vegan mayonnaise. I loved the pickled curry lotus and the soup is just incredible. As a dessert I had I think amazake? Amazing sweet fermented rice drink/pudding. 10/10 experience really.
View on GoogleDinner at Fujifuku was truly special. All the dishes are plant-based and change with the seasons. The lady who runs the place, along with her little dog Millfy, is very skilled and will give you an authentic Japanese dining experience. It’s a bit pricier than average, but since everything is made fresh by hand, it’s absolutely worth it! Highly recommended even for non-vegans!
View on GoogleThis was truly a culinary and artistic experience, perfect for vegetarians! We enjoyed every unique bite of each course, and were stuffed full by the end. Note that the establishment is tiny - we saw multiple parties turned away and one party had to come back 30 min later. (Not sure how the reservation system works.) We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this two-hour dinner experience!!
