不純喫茶ドープDope Ueno-Okachimachi
A coffee shop with the concept “a dumping ground for wistful feelings, a door you feel like opening when night falls.” Enjoy a time that feels both nostalgic and new in a Showa-retro space. The signature items are firm Showa pudding and colorful cream sodas. Food such as Napolitan and omurice is popular too. 【Important】Payment is cashless only (credit cards/various electronic payment methods). --- EN] Dope Nakano is a modern take on the nostalgic 'Showa Era' Japanese Kissaten (Retro Cafe).

If you want a retro setting cafe in Okachimachi area, this is.the go to place. We had the egg sandwich and nepolitan pasta and it was okay. I guess they are really.sticking to the retro tasting food. Coffee was just alright. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and the lady attending to our orders was very nice and always on the look out for customer's needs. Would not hesitate to go back here again when we are in Tokyo.
View on GoogleI went here in July 2024 quite a few times because it was near my hostel and very quiet. There are many places to eat nearby, but this one has a cute selection of items and also accepts card which was nice as a foreigner. There was a selection of delicious and cute items. It's nice and people and somewhat close to Akihabara so I'd sometimes go here after playing arcade games there since it's very quiet and I love Taito city. The staff are very nice. You don't need to reserve, but you may have to wait in a small line outside ^w^
View on GoogleFood was so tasty! The line was very long waited for maybe 40 minutes. We got free pudding the days after new year 🩵
View on GoogleWe found a nice Japanese style cafe after walking from Ochanomizu to Okachimachi. The first look was classic style but it seems to be renovated for youngsters. Japanese hip hop make its quaint atmosphere. The menu is coffee, pudding, soda float… like traditional classic Japanese cafe. But the most difference is they offer alcohol drinks as “not classical cafe”. I ordered a nonalcoholic coffee float but it served in a beer glass🤣
View on GoogleWonderful space designed to look like a kissaten. It is not an actual kissaten though, be warned. Area was calm and peaceful. Kids were welcome! Food was average, but portions were ridiculously large! Haha. Coffee was typical of any coffee chain like Komeda etc. Ice cream and pudding were the standouts here, not too sweet, not tok heavy. so come for the sweets and their gachapon.
