We were looking for a place to enjoy a glass of wine and perhaps a small bite to eat. When we arrived, the staff explained that only wine and alcohol were available at that time, which was perfectly fine. We ordered two glasses of wine and enjoyed watching the staff prepare for the next day’s service. Unfortunately, the experience took an unexpected turn when the chef prepared a beautiful plate of pasta for the staff, and the staff then sat down and ate it directly in front of the only two paying customers in the restaurant. There was nothing wrong with the wine, and everyone was polite, but this felt surprisingly inhospitable. In a country renowned for its hospitality and attention to guests, it was disappointing to watch food being prepared and served while customers were told that no food was available. Perhaps we caught them at an unusual time, but it left us feeling unwelcome and overshadowed what otherwise could have been a pleasant experience. I’ve traveled extensively throughout Japan and have always been impressed by the country’s hospitality. That’s why this stood out so much. Watching staff enjoy a freshly prepared meal in front of paying guests who had been told no food was available felt completely out of character with every other experience we’ve had in Japan.

Fantastic! I loved the vegetable plate with a couple pieces of shrimp. The sauce was amazing! The portions are smaller, but filling and overall thought it was a great value. My partner had the beef tenderloin stew and it was so good! The white wine was crisp and fresh tasting. Great value. The staff is lovely. Food is fresh and the ambiance is so relaxing. Highly recommend!

Good wine selection (which can be hard to find in Japan)! and they were able to accommodate for vegan!! I got the pizza with no cheese & no meat and it was sooo yummy. My non-vegan family really enjoyed the eggplant dish and the mushroom chicken dish

Don’t come here if you are a tourist. The staff was friendly and gave us an English menu but the quality of the wine was mediocre at best - the bartender literally poured us a quarter glass of the last dribbles of boxed wine. Then we learned there was a 500y cover charge on the English menu.
