Not too bad overall, but I was not happy about certain things. First, the canned tomatoes as a menu support, on an otherwise small table. Yes, it is original, but kind of pointless. Second, we waited 30+minutes for our pizzas...we were in the mood for pizza. Pizzas are small, no surprise here considering the price (just bellow 1000), margherita was alright, but the tomato sauce was too sour, and the cheese pizza with nuts had some weird tasting commercial fried garlic on, I think the spice mix on it tasted like MSG+ artifical flavoring, I felt it's from China. It didn't match. Finally the cheese pizza had hardly any cheese on it. And then we had 380 yen cover charge per person, we were two, so 760, for 4 slices of 'nothing special' bread. Not worth it. Spumante was good, but again, not worth the price. Place was also too loud, but it was Saturday night after all. Other dishes looked kind of ok, but I would not come here for pizza. Oh, right after we sat down the waitress came and she explained the menu and the specials, in a robotic voice, talking more than 1 min continuously. Personally I felt it was too long :) Sorry. Over 4000 yen for two small pizzas and two glasses of sparkling wine, I did not feel it was good value. I cannot really recommend.
View on GoogleWhatta treat! Nestled in the backstreets of Yokohama this wonderful local hang offers some of the most spectacular dishes ( just as long as you can read Japanese ) and a strong array of beers and wine. Infectious atmosphere & very well priced.
View on GoogleA nice little hole in the wall that you wouldn’t notice unless you were looking for it. The food is pretty good and freshly made. There is a rather large wine selection or how small the place. The staff don’t speak much English, but you can get fine just by with a translator or just Google. Overall, a great time there! I tried the wine along with one of the white wines, all of which were very nice lines was so having something to pay with that like the bottomless bread or the cheese platter was a great option. The potato and meat casserole came out extremely hot so if you would like to get that, I would highly suggest order it first because it will take 10 to 15 minutes to cool down. additionally, the meat in the casserole has a sweet red sauce, so I would recommend pairing it with something dry or bitter just to offset it makes the dish so much better. The meat charcuterie platter is rather salty and not very gamy perfect for the free wines that I was having. The meat on the platter is however I’ll be just slightly still. Place to try a few wines if you’re looking or something like that.
View on GoogleOur first night at Ueno my nephew and we're hungry and we saw a 7-11, and right next door were stairs that lead down to an Italian restaurant called Di Punto. We were greeted immediately by the staff who were superb as was their service. Albeit, their food was very small portions taste was mediocre at best to include the tiramiu vanilla ice cream dessert. We left their feeling hungry that we made a pit stop at Wendy's First Kitchen.
View on GoogleI was charged 350 yen for bread that I did NOT order and did NOT eat. When the waitress left it on the table, he said it was an appetizer offered by the restaurant, but then they charged me for it. They take too long to serve you. The food is good, but for the price you pay there, maybe you could go to another restaurant with better customer service.
