The best pour over coffee I’ve experienced in Japan. Small and simple coffee shop with two items for breakfast. The pour over coffee is exceptional. Quiet and very comfortable. Easy 7-8 minute walk from Ueno Station or Ueno Park. Staff is amazing. Can’t recommend more for great coffee and service.

Delicious black coffee and egg sandwich breakfast. Deeply local take on classic 1940's-1950's lunch counter food. If you're looking for a nostalgic old school coffee shop with great food and quiet, cozy ambiance from a less hectic age then this is it. Coffee was unpretentious and wonderfully brewed while the egg sandwich was filled with savory ham and a perfectly executed omlet served in elegant crustless quarters on toasted bread. Very much a locals joint where people come to connect over coffee and staff pop out to deliver lunch to locals via bike. This is the kind of place where time slows and you can enjoy an unhurried pace of life from a less terminally online age. Laptop campers are advised to look elsewhere.

I honestly thing this is the best matcha drink I’ve ever had in Tokyo. I must come back again. I ordered the hot 抹茶オレ and I am shocked, it tastes too perfect, sweet, creamy, like unicorn dancing happily in heaven. The toast also tastes awesome, I ordered the cinnamon toast, and it tastes just like the ones in UK or HK. I have never gave such a comment to a coffee before. I usually don’t drink coffee or tea, I came in this cafe simply because I needed a place to attend an online meeting. The atmosphere is also comfortable, jazz music in the background, wooden furniture, coffee cup collection, not a lot of people. It feels like a coffee house in the 90s, like the movie. If I live nearby, I would come every single day.

Unique old cafe ambience. The menu sticks to basic with toast egg and coffee in the morning and rice with omelette during lunch time. We like it! Highly recommend it. Prices are reasonable. 500 yen for coffee set.

A total letdown of a restaurant. Don't come here. As a tourist, don't bother coming - unless you like having dried, burnt food. Service level was bare minimum. Perhaps we aren't the clientele of this shop (sorry, I cannot call this a coffee house). We politely asked for our burnt food to be changed or replaced, and was politely declined. Other than that, coffee was so-so (I personally prefer the Family Mart coffee machine over the coffee here). We didn't bother to ask for the set dessert to be served before we left (and we were never asked if we wanted it).
