チングChingu Yakiniku House
Established in 1952, this yakiniku, shabu-shabu, and hot pot restaurant features carefully selected meats and traditional flavors passed down to the 2nd generation. Committed to wagyu, it is beloved by locals. With a reservation, you can also enjoy beef offal hot pot, shabu-shabu, anko nabe, tecchan nabe, samgyetang, and more. We also take pride in our authentic Korean chijimi and samgyeopsal, as well as homemade kimchi. Our smokeless grills help prevent yakiniku smoke odors from clinging to your clothes and hair. With easy access from Ueno and Asakusa, please stop by when you're nearby. Our entire staff sincerely looks forward to welcoming you.

A small restaurant but with a very tasty meal. The owners are also very kind and nice to us, they tell us which are the best sellers. The soup very comforting and the kimchi is yummy and fresh. You should try the tongue. Definitely will go back if I have the chance. Note (because the other comments) : i looked chinese & i bring a toddler but they let me in & serve us whole heartedly.
View on GoogleGreat experience. Hosts are fantastic, meat is delicious. Friendly host, he offered me a beer for guessing his age and he took a picture of us outside the restaurant in a nice spot with Tokyo tree in the underground. Do not miss it!
View on GoogleAfter being out walking the entire day and well into the evening, we were totally worn and needed some where closeby the hotel to eat, once again Google map community came to the rescue 😄🙏😘. Saw some photos shared on this restaurant on Google map, and it was a no brainer, we beamed to this place without any hesitation 😋. FOOD: fresh and of good quality, portion size was ok. Since this is a BBQ, you cook the meat to your own liking. Menu is simple, but more than enough variety to keep everyone happy. 9/10 SERVICE: the restaurant is run by 2 elderly couple, they were super helpful and absolutely lovely, translating and teaching us how and what to eat together. 10/10 FACILITY: traditional restaurant, very simple, but the whole place was very clean, great house keeping. 8.5/10 PRICE: more than acceptable 8/10
View on GoogleIt is a shame based on the comments and witnessing myself that this establishment will turn customers away if you: 1) look Chinese 2) look like you won’t order enough 3) single customers 4) particular western/ POC foreigners 5) have children on weekend nights At 7:33 pm on a Saturday night, I saw Korean lady aggressively turn away a Chinese father and his daughter. Yelling “this table is reserved, get out!” In English. Another Japanese couple with no reservations came in and she sat them immediately. It was a shock to see such discrimination. Maybe she thought children won’t eat enough so it’s not worth serving? She had a terrible attitude toward me, but she softened up when she took orders from the male members of my table. Maybe it was her generation to serve men better instead of younger woman? Is it a pride thing? Idk what’s her problem bc I was polite and respectful from the moment I walked in. Meat was not so great. There was no Wagyu. But the Kalbi soup and chijime were really yummy. I wish there were sauces at the table. I think the couple is overworked and deserves a vacation. Uncle was super nice. I recommend this only for u to see how they treat certain customers. They say Korean ladies have bad tempers, and I think this lady has her good and bad days. It’s quite entertaining.
View on Googlefelt so welcomed. I was alone. My first yakiniku ever. Cash only place, very clean. Tasty food. And awesome service. The old chef translated to portuguese: welcome I order two wagyu pieces and two beers. After me a family full of luggage were acomoddated properly. So I saw everyone being nicely treated.
