If you are exploring Kappabashi Street in Tokyo and start feeling tired after a long walk, this café is the perfect place to take a break. It is one of the most beautiful and relaxing cafés in the area, offering a cozy atmosphere where you can sit down, recharge, and enjoy a quality drink. The interior is stylish yet comfortable, creating a peaceful environment away from the busy streets outside. Whether you are traveling alone, with friends, or simply looking for a quiet moment during your Tokyo adventure, this café provides a wonderful experience. One of the highlights here is the matcha. The quality is excellent, with a rich aroma and a smooth, authentic flavor that reflects the best of Japanese tea culture. The matcha is well-balanced, not overly sweet, and leaves a pleasant taste that lingers after every sip. It is definitely the drink I would recommend the most. They also serve a delicious strawberry matcha drink. The combination of fresh strawberry sweetness and the slightly bitter notes of matcha creates a unique and refreshing flavor. It is both visually appealing and enjoyable to drink. However, while the strawberry matcha is very good, I personally think the classic matcha is even better because it allows the true quality of the tea to shine. Overall, this café is a hidden gem on Kappabashi Street. With its beautiful atmosphere, friendly service, and outstanding matcha drinks, it is a place I would happily visit again and recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo.

First off the cafe itself is really nice, the aesthetic is kind of rustic and dark with this gritty but still classy cozy vibe, like earthy but in a moody way, and it actually works. We sat outside even though there were seats indoors because the weather was perfect and it was already our second matcha latte of the day so we were just taking it easy. The matcha color in person was great, deep and vibrant, even if the photos make it look pale because of the outdoor lighting. Do not trust the pictures. We also ordered the matcha tiramisu and that was so good, I loved it, full stop, definitely a must get in my opinion even if my partner was not as obsessed as I was. The matcha latte itself was average to slightly above average, nice aroma, good umami, grassy and a little earthy, not chalky which I appreciated, but it leaned a bit bitter so we added an extra packet of their sugar free syrup and that honestly helped a lot. There was still some bitterness and slight astringency but it became way more balanced. Overall it was decent and I do not regret trying it, but I would probably come back for the tiramisu more than the latte.

What a gorgeous place - arty, chilled, random and with THE best sound system! If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of ‘kitchen street’, this is the ideal place. We had a soy latte (Bonsoy) and a regular milk cappuccino - both delicious. It’s obvious that care and thought has gone into the customer experience here because our drinks came in tactile, handsome pottery cup/saucer sets. Make sure you visit upstairs - the spaces are amazing!

The workers welcome you with a smile and will ask you to find a seat first before proceeding to order if you wish to dine-in. The workers can also speak English so it is foreigner friendly. They have an adequate variety of both food and drinks. The whole cafe has a calm yet friendly atmosphere. This is a nice place to relax after sightseeing and shopping around Asakusa. My order: • 抹茶と苺のKOJIラテ | Matcha & Strawberry KOJI Latte (¥900) • 合羽橋ティラミス | Kappabashi Tiramisu (¥700)
