We stumbled upon this cozy, artisanal cafe and were immediately charmed. Though the space is tiny (seating about 8–10 people), the experience is worth every inch. The Highlights: 1. Artisanal Food: Their Pain Perdu (French Toast) is a must—available both savory (Ham & Cheese) and sweet. The Black Tea Cake was a standout: velvety, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. 2. Masterful Drinks: The owner is a true craftsman. Watching him prepare coffee using a Syphon setup is a treat. Both the coffee and matcha are exceptional. 3. Authentic Atmosphere: Since the owner prepares everything solo, expect a wait of about 20 minutes. It’s the perfect "slow bar" to rest your legs after exploring Ueno. 4. Impeccable: The restroom is incredibly clean—reflecting the care put into the entire shop. Note: Not the place if you're in a huge rush, but perfect for those who appreciate quality and a heartwarming, homemade touch. Don't miss the cheesecakes!
View on GoogleThe staff is absolutely lovely, and everything is truly delicious. I highly recommend the French toast and the apple ice cream, both were outstanding. The iced latte is absolutely incredible as well. A fantastic experience overall, and I would definitely recommend this place!
View on GoogleIt's a small cafe with just 5 tables. The atmosphere of the cafe is as warm and beautiful as a French cafe. There is an English option in the menu. I ate baked caramel cheesecake which was delicious and Americano coffee which had a light and clear taste. The prices are reasonable, and the coffee cup is so small though. The serviceman is not a friendly and smiling type and therefore I felt a bit uncomfortable.
View on GoogleWhat an amazing little find. The cafe is welcoming and friendly alongside having deliciously brewed coffee (in a form I’ve never seen before!). They have an English and French menu available.
View on GoogleThis was the first coffee spot I visited on a recent trip to Japan and everything after that was trying to live up to this. You'll be hard pressed to find a better coffee in Nezu. The lovely guy working there does syphon coffee which is a bit stronger than what you'll get from a lot of spots doing filter or pourover. I didn't try the food so I can't speak to it but I would come back here just for another tasty syphon coffee. Nice quiet little unassuming place otherwise. Good for a break.
