Just inside Ueno station at the Park Gate, this unassuming cafe has one of the most delicious sandwiches - smoked salmon, capers, peppercorns, sweet onions, aoli and thai basil on a soft airy hoagie roll. Describing it doesn't really do it justice. The coffee/espresso isn't anything special, but the juices are nice and the atmosphere is nice.

Delicious, creamy ice cream but it might be too heavy for some. It’s sweet and very milky. The cone tastes like langue de chat. More reviews on my IG @zanthrea

Delicious ice cream soft serve just outside the JR line upstairs. Chocolate was very chocolatey. The white ice cream is milk flavored, not vanilla. Really good, not overly sweet. Good cone - chocolate flavored, sort of porous so melting ice cream leaks out of it in spots.
