Good cafe hide in the Matsuzakaya, M2. Went there in the middle of Saturday afternoon, every cafe in the area were crowded but this one wasn’t. The tea 🍵 was pretty amazing and the melon cream soda was good 🍈 If you are looking for calm, it’s a good place to rest a little while drinking something or eating ice cream 🍨

This is a pretty good place to take a break when you shop in the neighborhood. It's on M2 floor, hidden between the first and second floor. Slightly expensive.

This is a Japanese-style cafe run by the long-established Japanese confectionery shop "Ginza Seigetsudo," located on the M2 floor of the Matsuzakaya Ueno main building. This time, I had the limited-time "Seigetsu Select Sweets & Drink Set." The seasonal Otoshibumi (matcha) had a rich matcha flavor, and the elegant sweetness was impressive. The heart-shaped Aisatsu Monaka also looked cute, and the combination of adzuki bean paste and the fragrant monaka wafer was delicious. It also paired well with the matcha. I recommend it as a Japanese-style cafe where you can take a relaxing break while shopping at Matsuzakaya.

I stopped by because I wanted some tea after getting tired from shopping. There was a Dean & Deluca on the first floor, but it was full. There were a few customers waiting, and the turnover didn't seem good, so I gave up and looked for a cafe and found this one! It's a cute panda cafe. I wanted to order the matcha jelly and matcha set, but since the matcha was only available hot, I just ordered the matcha jelly. It was very delicious. I was worried it might be sickeningly sweet, but the tsubuan (chunky red bean paste) wasn't too sweet, not too much of it, and the matcha jelly had a subtle sweetness—or maybe it was actually made only with matcha. It also had chewy shiratama (rice flour dumplings) and authentic-tasting matcha ice cream (no weird artificial flavors or strange sweetness). I poured the matcha honey sauce? over it. Wow, it was very delicious! I have a picky palate where I like sweet things but hate things that are too sweet, but this was very delicious!! Plus, there were plenty of seats open around 2 PM, so it really helped since my feet were tired!! This place is a hidden gem. It filled up shortly after, so my timing was good. They also served me green tea, which was perfect for my chilled body. I'd like to stop by again when I come to Okachimachi.

A cafe where you can enjoy a cute world view typical of Ueno, with everything from the interior atmosphere to the menu featuring pandas. It's so cute you can't help but take pictures. I especially recommend the matcha, which has a good aroma, an elegant bitterness, and a mellowness that makes for a relaxing taste. It pairs perfectly with the sweets. It's perfect for a break between shopping, and the calm space is also a highlight. It's easy to enter whether you're with children or alone, and it has a comfort that makes it easy to use casually. If you're looking for a cafe in Ueno, this is a fun place you'll definitely want to stop by.
