A reliable lunch in Asakusabashi. I happened to spot a Western-style restaurant while walking and went straight in. I ordered pork ginger. I'd been expecting thicker meat. But it was thinly sliced loin. I'd like to try the hamburg steak next time.

I don't know when it opened, but judging from the exterior, interior, and the age of the couple running it, it feels like it's probably been around for more than 20 years. The sign out front says “French cuisine,” so it presumably operates as a French restaurant, but at lunchtime you can enjoy classic Japanese Western-style dishes such as curry, menchi katsu, and Napolitan. I visited around 12:20 on a weekday, and my arrival filled the last seat. It was right in the middle of lunchtime, but perhaps because there are many offices nearby too, it was very busy. Reservations seem to be available at dinner and are recommended. The interior is that of an old-fashioned Western-style restaurant, with a homey atmosphere. It's a versatile hidden gem, so if you often come to this area but haven't visited yet, consider stopping by for lunch or another meal.
View on GoogleA Western-style restaurant in the old downtown area, established 35 years ago. Every dish is delicious, and I especially recommend the hamburg steak! Everything is handmade after you order! The demi-glace sauce is really delicious. Recommended for anyone wanting a leisurely lunch!
View on GoogleThey hadn't been open for lunch for a while, and I'd been wondering about them. In April 2023円, I finally got to visit. This time I had the pork steak from the lunch menu. The sauce was flavorful and delicious, and I enjoyed everything right through to the after-meal coffee (included with lunch). The atmosphere had a nice neighborhood Western-style restaurant feel. There are lots of dishes, so it'll be hard to decide what to have next time.
