Well worth the hype and the payoff of arriving at 6am. This place is the ultimate example of the early bird getting the worm. We arrived to wait in line at 6am and there were around 30 people in line, by 6:30 whoever joined likely didn’t get a seat at all. You have to queue this early to get a res due to them having a preset amount of pancakes they make a day. By the time we reached the front we were limited to times between 1:30-4pm. You pay a deposit for your meal just in case you no show, but after waiting who would? When we came back for our time check-in was a breeze and we sat down to order our food immediately. We got their regular pancakes with chocolate sauce and strawberries as well as their bacon and eggs pancake. Seeing them cooked in front of you is a treat in itself and very fun to watch. Both pancakes were delicious but the pancakes with chocolate sauce and strawberries (plus the strawberry juice we ordered) were so good. These may be the fluffiest and tastiest pancakes we’ve ever had, but be aware this is more of a treat than it is a meal so you may still want some food after. Between the visuals and the quality of the food, and even the very friendly service, this place backs up its hype hard.

A one-of-a-kind experience for exquisite creations of fluffy pancakes topped with delicious, fresh and wonderful toppings for sweet or savory palates. The experience is special from start to finish. Your start is watching their staff from the counter as they transform fresh ingredients into spectacular dishes, whisking, ladeling and allowing the pancakes to gently rise to perfection. All the while, they create toppings of your choice from fresh ingredients. The final assembly comes hot to you in large perfectly-plated servings. It's hard to choose what to order. Their bacon and eggs pancake sound basic, but are anything but that. We finished off our orders and loved them: Orange and Mascarpone with chocolate sauce, and I had Banana and Chocolate with salted caramel and slivered almonds on top! Nothing short of decadent. And ALERT: you need to make an in-person reservation in the morning you intend to eat !!! By early, I mean the line forms at 5 a.m. and they take reservations at 6:30. But heck, you've got jet lag from flying to Japan, so get up and get there and plan on a feast before the day is done. Highly recommended!

The key here is to get in the line as early as possible. We arrived at 5:38 am and there were already 11 people in front of us. Because of that, the earliest reservation we could get was at 10 am (I think reservations start at 9). They opened the doors to take reservations at 6:30. I had previously heard they didn’t open till 7. If you live close or are staying close by, I don’t think that wait is bad. I live about an hour away from Asakusa so going home wasn’t feasible and waiting around till 10 was annoying. We ordered the simple honey butter and the anything but simple egg and bacon. Both were steamy, giggly, and delicious. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to finish but had no problem at all. The seasonal fruit add on in June was oranges. I was expecting strawberries from other pics online. All the customers except my husband were not Japanese and the staff spoke English well. Was it worth it waking up at 4 am and waiting from 5:30 to 10 am?.. no, but they were good and I’m glad I finally got to try them. If your hotel is nearby, then I think it is worth it. If you need a place to wait, there’s a Denny’s nearby. Order the drink bar there which includes juices, coffees and sodas and is super cheap. Be sure to bring cash. You need to leave ¥1000 deposit for each dish you order and you place your order when you make your reservation. You can’t make changes once you’re seated so choose wisely!

Experience here was absolutely amazing, though it definitely required some dedication! My day started at 5:00 AM, waiting in line just to secure a reservation for my family- which sounds a bit crazy, but it was entirely worth it. If you have the time and the energy, highly recommend going for it. And to answer the big question: YES, it tastes exactly as incredible as it looks! We ordered five different items, and every single one of them was simply great, memorable and delicious experience!

Waited in line at 6am since we were out at 4am anyways because of jetlag. We were able to get reservations for 2:30pm. If you want an earlier reservation then you might need to wait earlier than 6am. I think the main appeal of this place is the unique flavors they offer. We got the egg+bacon pancakes and seasonal pancakes. The seasonal at this time was orange and marscapone. Both were delicious! The egg+bacon is a must get if you come. I think the pancakes themselves are similar to many other in tokyo but I would come again for the unique flavours offered.
