This is my go-to gyukatsu spot every time I visit Tokyo. The meat is consistently tender, juicy, and full of flavor, truly satisfying with every bite. A great improvement is that they’re now on Catch a Table, so you can reserve and simply come back when it’s your turn, avoiding the long wait. The location couldn’t be better, right in front of Asakusa Temple, making it a perfect stop during sightseeing. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to guide you if you’re not familiar with how to enjoy gyukatsu properly. Overall, this place combines authentic taste, convenience, and warm service, definitely worth visiting again and again!

One of the best beef cutlets I’ve ever had! 🍱 We went there around 3pm and still had to wait for 30–45 mins but it was totally worth it! We ordered one small and one medium size. Once we got inside, the food was already served. So efficient! The beef cutlets were very tender, soft and delicious. The portions were also very generous. Depending on your preference, you can grill it for as little as 2s or more than 5s. Personally, I preferred it medium rare and enjoyed dipping it in their mountain wasabi sauce, soy sauce or rock salt. You can even pair it with tororo (Japanese mountain yam). Both of them tasted great! I enjoyed eating them with wasabi sauce and I just love Japanese rice! It paired perfectly with the tororo.

This cozy restaurant, with its limited seating, was our second attempt after a long wait during our first visit. We were prepared to wait over 30 minutes this time, but the experience was well worth it. The beef was served with a beautifully browned exterior while maintaining a slightly raw center. The meat was expected to be cooked over a hot iron plate, and the provided condiments perfectly complemented the beef. Apart from the wait time, the food was delicious.

A really satisfying meal at Asakusa Gyukatsu. I liked being able to cook the beef to my own preferred doneness on the small grill at the table, which made the whole experience feel a bit more interactive. The meat was tender and full of flavor, and the atmosphere added to the meal without feeling too formal. I’d happily come back.
