Conveniently located a few minutes' walk from Yushima and Ueno-hirokoji stations, 焼肉味楽（みらく） is a long-established yakiniku restaurant that has been loved for years by locals and people heading home after drinks thanks to its late-night hours. The interior has a homey atmosphere, where you can enjoy authentic yakiniku grilled slowly over a shichirin charcoal brazier. Alongside classic cuts such as kalbi and harami, there is a wide selection of offal, including yan-yaki, gatsu, and nankotsu, all pairing beautifully with homemade sauces, kimchi, and namul. The sashimi-style menu is extensive too, with unusual cuts such as senmai sashimi and kobukuro sashimi, giving it a distinctly Korean barbecue character. The average budget is a reasonable 4,000円 or so, and its satisfying value in an unpretentious setting is another attraction. Since it operates from late at night through the early morning, many regulars finish with daegutang noodles around dawn, making it a valued “nighttime oasis.” With easy access, consistently delicious food, and a friendly atmosphere that makes it easy to drop in, it can rightly be called one of Yushima's standout restaurants.

Having the gopchang seasoned spicier than usual is the best. The gopchang itself is delicious, but the heat mixed with its fat really keeps the drinks flowing. And with just 1 clove of the soy-pickled garlic, who knows how many glasses you could drink… The dishes besides meat must surely be delicious too! That's what I believe, so next time I plan to come and try something other than meat!

Visited 味楽 here in Ueno. I only get to go occasionally, but since it's open until morning, it's perfect for finishing the night with yakiniku👍️ Besides beef tongue, you can enjoy other fresh meats too. The pig's feet are really delicious as well～

Since it's open until morning, it's also a convenient place to finish a night of drinking. I'm especially fond of the naengmyeon and always order it when I go.

A long-established place that's been around for years. The flavors are consistent too. Whatever you eat, it's a reliably tasty place. You can also try some unusual cuts.
