This Chinese restaurant is about a 5-minute walk from Suehirocho Station and about 7 minutes from Akihabara Station. It's in an alley one block off the main road, in a quiet area with no other shops. The interior spans the 1st and 2nd floors, and I think it's a very large space that could hold over 100 people. Akihabara has many shops that focus on ramen, but a Chinese restaurant known for gyoza may be unusual here. We reserved seats only and gathered with friends in the evening. There are many types of gyoza, and the handmade, chewy gyoza are irresistible. Of those, the oba pan-fried gyoza were my personal favorite. The other individual dishes are all relatively expensive, but rather ordinary. The restaurant itself is spacious, but the individual seats are cramped, and there's nowhere to put your belongings. Also, half the staff don't understand Japanese, and those who do speak only broken Japanese, so there are many ordering mistakes: things you ordered don't arrive, and things you didn't order do... it's quite something. I might drop by again if I feel like it, but for now, thank you for the meal.

The flavor really suits my palate, having eaten gyoza in northeastern China on a business trip. It's a nostalgic taste. The yodare-dori is delicious too. When I visited the other day, the mapo tofu and fried peanuts had unlimited refills, so I had 2 refills. The gyoza were 2割 off, so I ordered them 3 times. We ordered a bottle each of Shaoxing wine and wine, and it came to around 8000円 for 3 people. Partway through, they brought out a dressed dried-tofu dish, saying it was complimentary!

For drinks at a neighborhood Chinese restaurant in Akihabara, this is the place! It wasn't too crowded, perhaps because it was a weekday evening, so we went in. We ordered bottled beer, yodare-dori, and 2 types of gyoza. So, so delicious! The gyoza filling was wonderfully meaty, and there are even more varieties that make you want to try them. Other dishes like lamb skewers and stir-fried offal kept coming out with the speed you'd expect from a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, which felt great! The drinks went down easily too! It's a few minutes' walk from Akihabara Station toward Okachimachi, and because it's not in an area packed with restaurants, it even has a hidden-away charm!

I visited alone at 18:00 on a weekday. No other customers were there yet. It's tucked away down a hard-to-find little lane, a short walk from Akihabara Station. All the staff are Chinese. Half the customers who came afterward were Chinese too, so it was quite something (the volume of their voices, haha). I ordered tantan toshomen, Wago yaki gyoza, and one go of sake (hot). The sake wasn't hot at all. It was slightly warm room temperature, which was disappointing. I received complimentary fried peanuts. They were piping hot when they arrived, which was nice. The Wago yaki gyoza come as 4 pieces, but each is about the size of 2〜3 regular pan-fried gyoza, plump and round, so they're substantial. The tantan toshomen had thick noodles and was very filling. The heat was mala-like, but it lacked saltiness, leaving it somewhat unsatisfying. For some reason, after serving the gyoza, the kitchen person went outside. As a result, after I finished the gyoza, the tantanmen didn't come for ages, leaving me with nothing to do but use my phone for about 5 minutes. Honestly, I wondered if they'd forgotten my order and considered leaving. Were they short of ingredients? There was a notice saying VISA and MASTER credit card payments apparently require a bill of 5,000円〜. There seem to be other restrictions too, such as paypay not being available at this time. Pay in cash.

During my lunch break on a weekday, I came here for lunch. I arrived fairly early, so seats were available, but many customers came afterward and it soon got busy. The staff are Chinese, so it's best to speak clearly when ordering so they can understand you easily. I ordered mala toshomen. They properly ask whether you want cilantro. Of course I said yes. After a short wait, the bowl arrived. It came with a small palate-refreshing side and a mini dessert of canned fruit. The toshomen wasn't as spicy as it looked and had lots of vegetables and other ingredients. I enjoyed it. Besides mala, there are several other kinds of toshomen, so I recommend this place to fans of chewy knife-shaved noodles. They also have chahan and set meals, so I think you can enjoy it without getting bored.
