I live in Shibuya area, went to Tachihi to watch Princess Mononoke. Explored Tachikawa to find some good ramen shop after watching the movie and found this place near the station. My experience here might even be better than the movie, and I watched in Imax. The atmosphere inside was calming and the Chef was so accomodating and very nice. He speaks english too! The Ramen was the best part of course. First time I had Chicken Paitan Ramen, which I believe is like tonkotsu but with chicken bones instead of pork. The broth tasted very creamy and flavorful. After eating the ramen, I ordered rice just to finish the broth. The noodles was very thin, I was not sure what to feel about it but as I eat the ramen I eventually liked it. My favorite part of the ramen was the cubed chicken meat, which I thought was a surprised since it was hidden in the broth. It maybe roasted marinated chicken that was cubed but idk it taste amazing. Might return here again even tho I live like 2 hours from here.

This ramen shop is a gem. Not big and has a limited number of seats. It has an atmosphere that focuses on the ramen which even includes a spotlight. The chicken soup ramen has a slightly creamy texture. I personally wish they had a chicken chashu option. The noodles are on point as well as the crispness of the vegetables. The mood fits the aesthetics for serious ramen eaters.

Had a great experience here. They have done well making it feel rustic but with class. Price is slightly higher than your usual ramen shop - but worth going. Service was quick, less than 10min wait for 3 of us to get a seat for a Saturday lunch. Ramen is great, nice thick noodles. Tantanmen is great option if you like a less soupy option. Chicken broth tsukemen is definitely worth trying too.

Very nice shop design, and the shoyu soup was delicious. My wife chose tsukemen, it was even better!

This ramen shop seems very popular at Tachikawa. Good decent ramen but not my preference.
