Two staffs were quarreling with each other and noisy. Not a place to relax and eat. The taste is freakin' salty makes you ill.
View on GoogleI've recently visited several Jiro-style ramen places, and since I stopped in Tachikawa, I chose Jiro partly to compare the flavors. First, in terms of access and queues, being within a 10-minute walk of the station and having no line even at lunchtime makes it much more convenient than Hachioji Yaen or Koganei Maruta, I think. I went without prior knowledge, but apparently it has repeatedly closed and reopened in recent years, and I could sense the owner's commitment to honing his skills until satisfied with the flavor and then serving it confidently. It's also currently ranked 3rd among Tachikawa ramen places on Tabelog, so I thought Jiro fans would be satisfied. I requested vegetables, fat, garlic, and extra pork, and the portion was just right. The pork was very delicious, and I thought it was hardly inferior to Koganei Maruta, which I recently spent a total of 3-4 hours traveling to and queuing for. The extra fat was delicious too. The soup's richness was just right as well. It was delicious☆
View on GoogleFriday lunchtime, 4 people waiting outside. I last came here 13 years ago, just before the Tachikawa branch took a long break, so it was ages ago. My memory of that time is fuzzy, and I don't remember whether I bought a meal ticket before lining up. I hadn't been here in a long time, but what made me consider returning was a post saying that despite carrying the Jiro brand, it had become a place where you aren't allowed to say “mashi.” lol For now, I selected ramen 280g900円 at the ticket machine inside and rejoined the line. Once inside, I realized there were 4 people waiting indoors, making 8 in total😅 Turnover was surprisingly fast, and before too long I could sit in the indoor waiting area. Someone behind the counter called “Go ahead~,” so I got cold water from the dispenser and sat at an empty counter seat. There are 12 counter seats. There was an intimidating pressure I rarely feel these days, and everyone was quiet. Just like old-school Jiro. lol A guy appeared in front of me and asked, “Would you like garlic?” Without using “mashi,” I tried asking for a little garlic, more vegetables, and double fat. The fat and vegetables went well together and were delicious😋 There was 1 tender rolled pork piece and 1 with a firm, meaty texture👍🏻 The soup was lightly emulsified. Not overly salty, with a lovely mellow savoriness. The noodles were springy and chewy without being hard—delicious and just my preference. Satisfied with the taste of a direct Jiro branch after so long😋 I put the bowl on the raised counter, wiped down with the cloth, and got up. That was delicious, thanks for the meal. 2026/07/24
View on Google【Ramen Jiro Tachikawa Branch】First-visit review🍜✨ Finally made my long-awaited first visit to the Tachikawa branch! I arrived enthusiastically 30 minutes before opening and actually got PP (pole position)✌️ Being first really gets you excited! This time my topping call was “yasai mashi・abura mashi”🔥 【Vegetables & Fat】 The vegetables were cooked perfectly, with an amazing balance of crispness and softness! Eating them with the jiggly fat topping fills your mouth with savoriness and sweetness—so incredibly delicious🤤 That alone makes you keep eating the vegetables! 【Noodles & Soup】 The noodles were cooked quite firm, with a hearty chew that was exactly my preference😋 Every bite brought out the flavor of Oation flour, and combined with the substantial noodle portion, it was extremely satisfying! They caught the soup well too, making my appetite explode. 【Overall】 With generous noodles and vegetables and high-quality seasoning, this was an outstanding bowl that let me fully enjoy the “essence of Jiro”! It has definitely become a favorite that suits my tastes. I'll absolutely return! Thank you for the meal🙏✨
View on Google【Among the more demanding Jiro branches. Topping calls are also quite difficult, so here are a few patterns】 Visited 2026/07/04 around 20:00 I had business in Tachikawa and thought I'd stop at Jiro on my way back. 【Topping calls】 ・Order…①Vegetables ②Garlic ③Fat ・Not allowed: mashi Allowed: ome ・If you want more vegetables, less garlic, and fat on top →“Yasai ome, ninniku sukuname, abura” ・If you want it served as is, without adding or subtracting anything (vegetables only, no garlic or fat) →“Sono mama” 【Queuing, buying a meal ticket, and getting your bowl】 ①Sometimes there is surprisingly no line. In that case, go inside, buy a meal ticket, and sit in the indoor waiting area. There are 3 indoor waiting seats. ②If there is a line, depending on how many people are waiting, join it first. Staff will call loudly from inside to direct you to the indoor waiting seats. Buy your meal ticket around that time, before or after. ③Staff will ask you to show your ticket, so hold it up where they can see it. ④When a seat opens, staff will say, “Starting from the front of the line, please sit at number such-and-such,” so follow their instructions. Seat numbers start at 1 on the right when facing the entrance. ⑤Once seated, staff will again prompt your topping call by asking, “Would you like garlic?” Give your call then. ⑥Your bowl arrives a few seconds after the call. 【Getting there】 ・About a 10-minute walk from Tachikawa Station. ・The sign is large and noticeable, and the corner location makes it clearly visible from far away even at night. 【Atmosphere】 ・One of the more harsh interiors among the many Jiro and Jiro-style restaurants. First, the air conditioning is ineffective, so it's quite hot. ・Also, kindly put, it smells of pork and pork bones; less kindly, it's a foul smell that makes you wonder whether grease-trap cleaning is falling behind. It fills the restaurant, so it doesn't just smell bad—it thoroughly clings to your clothes. Be prepared or take sufficient precautions. ・Around 10 seats. However, the space per person is narrow. A slightly larger person will immediately bump shoulders with their neighbor. 【Small ramen】 ・¥900 ・Call: yasai ninniku sukuname abura ・Noodles…Among noodles called dero-men, these are some of the most extremely soft. Almost to the point where the flour seems to have already dissolved into the soup. Unless you're very accustomed to Jiro, you might not feel like you're eating noodles. ・Soup…Frighteningly heavily emulsified. Combined with flour dissolving from the noodles, it's very thick. Cloyingly sweet, as though butter had been melted into it. And it smells very strongly. This kind of soup may only be enjoyable for people particularly accustomed to Jiro. 【Service】 ・Run by 2 people. ・Difficult Jiro topping calls are becoming a thing of the past, but this restaurant still requires difficult calls, and the service matches that. ・Don't have high expectations. If you want good service too, you'd probably be better off going to Tachikawa Mashimashi or Tachikawa Dada.
