View on GoogleThis takoyaki shop is on the south-exit side of Tachikawa Station, and I often stop by when I am a little hungry or heading home. This time I bought a pack of 8 as one of the dishes for dinner. The takoyaki here has a nicely cooked exterior and a melty interior, and the fragrant sauce whets your appetite. It is reliably delicious; I shared it with my family, and everyone really liked it. The portion is substantial too, so it is very satisfying as a side dish. The older man who served me was also very kind and polite, which left an impression. Just a little conversation and warm service makes you want to buy here again. It is conveniently accessible from the station, so being able to grab something quickly on the way home is very handy. The shop offers delicious food and warms your heart, so I definitely want to visit again soon.
View on GoogleFirst, about parking. There is no eat-in space, so you can stop your car in front of the shop. The road in front is reasonably wide, so I think stopping just long enough to buy something is within acceptable limits, but please use your own judgment carefully. Near Tachikawa Station, a charming lantern caught my eye, so I stopped by! A kind-looking older man welcomes you. Excited to see what kind of takoyaki I would get, I ordered Kyo-tako, 8 pieces. Please see the picture for the price! You can choose from 3 sauces, and they ask whether you want mayonnaise. I chose the medium-spicy sauce, the original secret flavor! I also replied, “I love mayonnaise ^_^.” The takoyaki is simple. The filling is octopus, with pieces that are not especially large. The outside is soft, and the inside is melty and incredibly hot! The dashi flavor comes through, with no flouriness at all, just rich deliciousness ♪ There is a little shop called Akadako in Kobe that I used to visit often. If you define Kansai as the authentic home of takoyaki, I would say this is similar! The difference is that theirs has a fried, crispy exterior and melty interior, while Kyo-tako has a moist exterior and melty interior. It is called the Tachikawa Minamiguchi branch, so there may be other locations, but this shop! I highly recommend it ♪ It has been about 1 hour since I finished eating, but I still want seconds; this takoyaki is not heavy and leaves you wanting more! The older man at the shop was very kind when we chatted and let me take my time with photos. He said, “Write something nice about us!” But even without being asked ^_^ it is a good shop ♪ If you are nearby, I definitely recommend it!! I went 2 days in a row ^_^ Take a look at the cooking process!
View on GoogleI visit on dates with an 8 in them. Piping-hot, delicious takoyaki. People want to eat it freshly made so badly that cars line up outside the shop. Haha. Everyone eats in their cars. They cannot wait. Delicious.
View on GoogleI love Waratako's takoyaki, and when I looked it up, I found its sister shop, Kyo-tako!! I love takoyaki that is super melty, soft, squishy, and piping hot, and figured a sister shop would surely have that, so I tried it, and its deliciousness did not disappoint. I had the sweet sauce, which was delicious, and wanted to try another, so I had the medium-spicy sauce, which was delicious too. It was not really spicy enough to call medium-spicy, but I enjoyed it. Near my home, there are only places with crispy exteriors, so I wish one would open nearby~
