I visited 「ひだりうまでん助」 for lunch, along WINS通り, a 5～6-minute walk from the south exit of 立川 Station🚶‍♂️. Inside has the lively atmosphere of 「THE・classic neighborhood izakaya」, a space that seems perfect for drinking and having fun with friends🍻! This time I ordered 「期間限定 トロ豚あぶり旨タレ卵黄のせ丼（1,518円）」. The name 「トロ豚」 made me imagine large pieces of pork belly, but the pieces were actually small and relatively lean. I personally like less fat, but that seemed to leave the meat lacking in savory flavor. The sauce was also very strong and overwhelmed the rice, which was a little disappointing💦. It may just have been that day, but the dish’s balance fell a little short. The atmosphere itself is very good, though, so next time I’d like to try a fish-based lunch or visit in the evening as an izakaya!

Alongside thoroughly seasoned oden available year-round, there’s a wide range of seasonal meat and fish dishes, fried dishes, simmered dishes, and skewers—truly an “izakaya where you can enjoy anything.” Set meals can also be ordered in the evening, making it convenient when you want a proper meal. If you want drinks, the wide selection and all-you-can-drink plans available from 1 hour🍻 are appealing too. With counter and table seating, it accommodates everything from solo drinking to large banquets. Portions are generally generous, the food is well flavored and delicious, and it’s a very satisfying place.

Visited in the evening in late August. This time I chose the 1-hour all-you-can-drink plan for 1,000円. (There’s also a 2-hour plan for 1,500円, and 一番搾り draft beer is included!) I thought it was excellent value. The food selection is broad, including oden, set meals, skewers, and sashimi, so you can enjoy plenty of options even without deciding what to eat beforehand. It feels like a versatile place that’s easy to choose by saying, “Let’s just go to でんすけ.” The customers range from office workers and women to regulars, creating an approachable atmosphere. The all-you-can-drink offering and food are well balanced, and I recommend it as an easygoing izakaya.

Everything tastes good. The sashimi was incredibly delicious. It was so good I forgot to take photos. They also have all-you-can-drink, so I have no complaints. Whenever I come to 立川, I’d happily eat here every time! Thank you for the meal. It might be best to reserve on Fridays.
