I visited 「イタリアン酒場 gan's Bar（ガンズバール）」 for lunch, about a 30秒 walk from the ticket gate of 西国立 Station on the JR南武線, on the 2nd floor of a building with a red tiled roof. The staircase with an Italian flag is the landmark. Inside, the brick-style walls and artwork covering the ceiling are striking, with a stylish, calm space you would never imagine from the exterior. 【Order】 Pasta Lunch A（1,200円） （Tuna and spinach in tomato sauce, with salad and a drink） The set salad has homemade citrus dressing, and the leafy greens are carefully torn by hand, showing attention to detail. The main pasta brings together the richness of tuna, sweetness of spinach, and acidity of tomato, with the sauce coating the noodles beautifully. It was delicious. They say “the simpler the pasta, the harder it is,” but this dish showed reliable technique and a good sense of flavor. Access from the station is excellent too, making it perfect for an elegant lunch. Next time I would definitely like to try the pizza lunch.

For lunch I ordered 「peperoncino with minced meat and garlic shoots」 (large serving). It had been a long time since I found such a simple, delicious peperoncino. The noodles were al dente; personally I prefer them softer, but the garlic, chili, and olive oil combined simply and deliciously. It comes with salad and a drink. The interior is small with a nice atmosphere, and it seemed locals were coming for lunch.

An Italian restaurant in front of 西国立 Station. They serve lunch too, and the food comes out quickly, making it ideal for weekday lunches! Lunch options include pasta, pizza, and other daily specials. That day I chose sausage doria. It was creamy and delicious, with coffee and salad included. You can add a lunch dessert too, and the tiramisu was meltingly soft and delicious!

Since moving to 西国立, I had not really eaten out much, but my husband and I talked about wanting a delicious lunch and visited for the first time! (We went 1 month ago, but it was so good I am only now writing a review) Of course the food was delicious, but the young male part-time worker (a student, perhaps?) provided such capable service, I thought it was wonderful for someone so young! The tiramisu and brûlée we had at the end were so delicious they made me happy! It is reasonably priced, and we will return! (If I had to ask for something, I would like a lunch option with plenty of protein too…)

It is right in front of 西国立 Station. I visited on Friday night and got in without a reservation. Every dish was delicious, but the pizza and pasta were especially good. I think this place deserves to be busier.
