Delicious food at reasonable prices.
View on GoogleThis is my favorite yakiniku restaurant. Besides the 特選タン and 上タン塩, with the underside of the tongue properly trimmed away, the popular cuts like karubi, rosu, and harami are delicious too. The lightly seared liver and tongue dishes sometimes sell out, so I recommend going early if you definitely want them. My personal recommendation is all the offal. There are places with delicious tongue, karubi, rosu, and harami, but I think it's rare to find somewhere serving such delicious horumon in such boldly generous cuts. It's usually served with miso sauce, but for connoisseurs, I recommend having it with salt. The quality varies a little depending on the supply, but I think the prices are very reasonable, and overall it's a really good yakiniku restaurant. I'll be visiting again.
View on GoogleI thought my body could no longer handle yakiniku. After I turned 40, the digestive discomfort after eating began to outweigh the enjoyment of the meat, so I had been avoiding yakiniku. But circumstances led me to have yakiniku for the first time in a while, and I visited this restaurant. And it was delicious. Instead of grilling lots of meat at once, piling it onto white rice, and wolfing it down like I used to, I put just one slice on the grill. I tried a more grown-up way of eating: cooking it slowly, almost as if nurturing it, and savoring each slice individually. This let just enough fat drip off while the meat cooked up nicely plump and tender. In my mouth, the meat's savory flavor seemed to seep out gradually. For the first time in ages, I could enjoy the deliciousness of yakiniku itself. I think that's what good meat can do. Eating good meat at a good restaurant, grilling small amounts slowly. This way, I think I can keep enjoying yakiniku for a long time. I'd like others of my generation who think, “I can't handle yakiniku anymore,” to try this restaurant too. ※I was so focused on grilling that I forgot to take photos.
View on GoogleI'd never had yakiniku in Tokyo before and thought it was just expensive! One bite and I was shocked‼︎ Such high quality‼︎ The meat was thick and incredibly delicious! The meat at 大幸園 was so good that I've become a yakiniku refugee back home... I can't find any yakiniku better than that(TT)
View on Google2025.12.11 大幸園 is a very famous yakiniku restaurant in 立川. That day we visited 国營昭和紀念公園 in 立川, then went to 大幸園 for dinner. We hadn't reserved and were worried there wouldn't be seats. The restaurant opens at five, and we planned to arrive at five, but were a little late and got there after five. Luckily there were still seats, but the staff said we had to leave before seven. That was fine with us; we were just glad to eat there, and a little over an hour was plenty. 大幸園's signature dish is thick-cut beef tongue. The extra-thick-cut beef tongue is limited to one piece per person, at ¥3960 each. Not cheap, but it was truly the best of everything we ordered. Despite being extra thick, it wasn't hard to bite through, and it was springy and wonderfully fragrant. 上等鹽燒牛舌 at ¥1980 was also delicious. 特上牛肋肉, ¥3580. 胸腹肉 ¥2580. 里脊牛肋肉 ¥1980. All the meat came with sauce and was strongly flavored, but the meat itself had a lovely flavor too. The restaurant doesn't have many seats, so I'd still recommend reserving if you want to eat here, to avoid a wasted trip. It's also a little way from the JR station.
