An old-fashioned soba shop in town. The katsudon and soba set was 1000 yen. There was a lot of soba. The staff greeted us in loud voices, which somehow made for a nice atmosphere.
View on GoogleA soba shop standing all on its own, a fair distance from the station. It was lunchtime, but I got in smoothly. Seating is roughly: 4-person tables ✕3, 2-person table ✕1, 4-person zashiki ✕2. I had the katsudon set for 900 yen. Decent volume. The soba has an even width, like machine-cut from a noodle factory. The dashi is the typical dark, sweet Tokyo soba style. The katsudon is lightly seasoned with restrained sweetness. Reasonably tasty, a bit hearty, and the price felt fair. I think it's a good place when you're in the mood for a leisurely soba lunch. There seems to be a Chinese-style? menu too. Maybe it's more of a neighborhood diner than a soba shop.
View on GoogleFirst visit. A homey family-run place. Probably😁 Ordered curry nanban, my recent personal craze. My companion ordered the tanuki soba and half rice set. I still haven't come across my ideal curry nanban, but this was the closest flavor so far🤭 That's just according to my own ideal, of course😅 If it were a bit spicier, it'd be pretty much the best curry nanban✨ Thank you for the meal‼️ Second visit. It was muggy today, so I ordered chilled tanuki soba and a mini katsudon. My companion ordered half ramen and half fried rice. I could hear someone yelling from the kitchen‼️ Since I think it's family-run, maybe that's just how it goes😭 But it feels like a bit of a waste. Without that, the katsudon and stuff would be delicious✨ I like this shop's curry nanban and katsudon‼️ It's a soba shop I'd like to stop by again when I'm nearby‼️ Thank you for the meal✨ Please keep getting along and doing your best👪️ Came two days in a row. Day 1: katsudon and kake udon set. Day 2: ordered katsudon and kake soba. Compared to the katsudon I had 3 years ago, it now has more sauce, making the rice soupy. I don't think it was this soupy last time. Since I'd written that the katsudon was delicious, the flavor felt a bit removed from that katsudon. I've changed my rating from 4 stars to 3😭 I think the curry was good. If I go again, I'll try ordering tempura. Thank you for the meal✨
View on Google【No smoking inside🚭】【Smoking OK outside】【Cash only】An unmistakable neighborhood soba shop. Other people's reviews recommend the fried rice and tempura, and the shop seems to push them too, but under my policy of ordering a large mori soba on a first visit, I had it with firm resolve. Mori soba 500 yen + large serving 100 yen = 600 yen — plenty for soba. But since I'm at it, next time I'd like the fried rice + half tanmen set. Ramen at soba shops is tasty too, after all. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleDrinks, snacks, etc. come in a wide variety and the value is GOOD The soba has plenty of volume and is delicious too. The fried rice I'd been looking forward to missed the mark, but for enjoying it as a soba shop, I'm definitely coming back!
