Great little museum. Knowledgeable operator who is extremely welcoming and helpful. Big Dodgers fan, but that is forgivable.

We had the most amazing experience! Of course, you might see how small the museum is and thing it's not going to be informative or interesting, you'd be wrong. We walk in and the guide was charming, interested in us and immediately set out to do a mini photo shoot of us in the exhibit! Thankfully another couple who also spoke English and Japanese were there and helped translate while he then sat us down and spoke on the history of fireworks globally and in Ryugoku! He was passionate, engaging, funny, and informative! This museum trip is quite honestly been the highlight of our entire trip to Japan and the best museum experience we've had in Japan yet!

Such a cute and fantastic place to visit. The museum in itself is very small but the owner is really enthusiastic and will happily explain you everything about his family tradition. You can even try the traditional clothes that the fireworks creator wear during the festivals. Thank you very much for this experience !
