On the outside this place looks like what used to be a charming old Showa era kissaten that, like many others in Shitamachi and over other parts of Japan have remained unchanged. However, upon entry it was clear that the business has been sold to new owners who clearly don’t care about their customers. The owners were noisy, rude, the food was late and we were served INSTANT food, not freshly cooked liked at other similar venues. It’s such a shame to see a place like this when I’ve had such brilliant experiences elsewhere. I would give this business less than one star if I could.

Cant stand with smoking allowed indoor.

「喫茶店 ロジェ」 is tucked away in a back alley, a １-minute walk from Kinshicho Station's North Exit. Smoking is allowed at all seats. For people who want to smoke, it's a valuable find, since hardly any places allow it these days. For non-smokers, I don't think it's suitable, as the air inside is permeated with cigarette smell. It's always quiet, so even non-smokers might find it okay for just a short break. It's right near Kinshicho Station's North Exit, making it convenient for meeting people or filling time. The interior is spacious and a little dim. It's also great that it's open 24 hours.
