I was wandering around Kinshicho, found this place, and stopped by. The motsu-ni is delicious! The seasoning makes you want rice. Drinks are around 500 yen, so the cost performance is △. I was looking for lunch at the south exit of Kinshicho Station when I spotted a "one coin" banner between ハッスルラーメン and スパゲティのパンチョ, so I went in to give it a try. It was a little before 1 PM, so the shops on either side had lots of empty seats, but the 1st floor of ニシキ屋 was almost full. Since it was my first time, I got the "motsu-ni set meal" for 500 yen tax included!! I have to respect them for offering a one-coin price including tax in these times. On top of that, rice and miso soup refills are OK. Tea and oshibori are self-service. It was served in about 5 minutes. It even comes with a proper small side dish. The miso soup was the regular wakame kind. During lunch hours, it's "cash" or "PayPay" only. Please be aware. There also seem to be reasonably priced items limited to evening hours, like a quick-drink set and beer + set meal, so I'd like to drop by again. This time it was a weekday lunch around 1 PM, so it seemed like mostly office workers, but since it's across from the entertainment district and JRA, I think the crowd is completely different on weekends. Being able to serve this much for this price at lunch makes me look forward to their main nighttime business! --- Came back right away. This time I ordered the lunch "tuna menchi katsu set meal" for 550 yen. Rather than a set meal, calling it a "tuna menchi katsu bowl" would be more accurate. Since it's a bowl, it seems you can't get rice refills. The tuna flavor was faint, and I felt the name and the actual dish were a bit far apart. Still, it's one coin before tax, an honest price, so no complaints.

When you come to Kinshicho, it's all about finding cheap and tasty izakaya! This time it's ニシキ屋. Happy hour until 6:30 PM, evening drink set for 780 yen (drink, otoshi, 3 skewers or motsu-ni) Such a great deal!! Everything we ordered was delicious! The chairs are high and uncomfortable, so I figured 2 hours is the limit lol, maybe that's to boost turnover✨ In 2 hours we ate well, cheaply, got drunk, and were satisfied. I love Kinshicho^_^

The motsu-ni is superb! The ginger-grilled pork jowl, stuffed fried lotus root, seared marinated mackerel, and sauce yakisoba were all very delicious too! The staff were all smiling and lovely people!

Came here for lunch. The rice portion is big, so you'll get full. I had the pork jowl negi-shio bowl. If there had been a bit more meat it would've been perfect! But the salt sauce is so good you could eat rice with just that.
