Found this shop while walking along the river, and it turned out to be one of the oldest dango shops dating back to the Edo period. We tried the crispy rice monaka filled with red bean paste, along with a set of three types of dango: white bean paste, red bean paste, and miso paste. They were served with tea, and all of the fillings were smooth with a nicely balanced sweetness. Highly recommended for anyone looking to try traditional Japanese sweets.

Come across this shop by chance while walking around. It seems to be one of the oldest dango shop around. The dango is delicious, the filling is smooth and sweet, each color taste different and all of them taste good. Highly recommended.

A lovely spot, although it's nearly underneath the highway! Just take a walk along the river and you will come to it, but it's rather unassuming, so be alert. Once I got inside, the women who were serving greeted me warmly and took great care of me, explaining the available set, then bringing the tasty dango and a cup of tea. The atmosphere, service and food made for a delightful visit. Step away from the crowds and into this traditional spot...
