We were searching for a place within walking distance of our hotel and lucked out with this absolute gem. The place is small and intimate like most, but the energy in there was large. The couple behind the counter had a great time talking to all the customers and making us feel at home. We got the black garlic ramen since we had never heard of such a thing and absolutely love it. I can’t even describe all of the flavor components. It’s was simply lovely. Before I could even finish my drink he was asking if I wanted kaedama and putting it into the bowl. I would’ve got thirds and 4ths if they let me. Seriously loved this

My partner and I traveled to a few cities across Japan trying all the different restaurants recommended by locals. Gatsun is definitely in our top 3, and that's really saying something considering how many ramen places we visited. We ordered the plain tonkatsu broth and the black garlic version, both with all the fixings, and they were each so tasty in their own way. Best tonkatsu broth we've had, rich without being too oily. The noodles (especially the refill) were perfectly firm and chewy. The chef is super cool and friendly. We also ordered the fried chicken (karrage) and it was crispy and light. Wish we weren't leaving Japan tomorrow. We discovered Gatsun too late into our trip to enjoy it again and again. Hope to visit again the next time we're back in Japan. Thanks for such a memorable meal!

The staff were very kind and spoke perfect English, the lady was especially helpful with my food allergies! You can order from an English menu, the ramen is really cheap too. Pork bone broth, very flavoursome and free noodle refills. The chef obviously loves his job too. Thanks for a memorable ramen🍜

Absolutely the best BLACK GARLIC ramen I’ve had. I have ate quite a few black garlic ramens before but I’ve never tasted the black garlic flavor as much as this RAMEN at Gatsun. The broth is fantastic, you taste the rich love. First sip of the broth is great and cozy. The noodles isn’t too soft or al dente. It’s springy and a good bounce bite. The toppings were good. You order on the tablet screen then you will give the ticket paper to them. This is a husband and wife owned business. They do speak English well enough to understand and speak to. They are kind, attentive, accommodating and make the food and space with care and love. We said we’re from Seattle so we talked about Ichiro, the baseball player. Also they have great music taste. They were playing Smokey Robinson and the Fugees etc. We ordered two black garlic ramens and a coke. $17.68 for two people, that’s a steal compared to food in Seattle.

Tasty ramen shop. Taste good. You have to order via the kiosk which have English and they actually speak English so don’t worry for the order. Credit card accepted. Enjoy !
