Best Malatang I've ever had!! The flavours are blended perfectly and it's great that you can choose the spiciness level too. Customizing the ingredients for your soup is also awesome! I personally love the glass noodles :) I usually don't drink much of the soup when I get noodles like Ramen or Soba, but this one I drink all of it. The owner has always been friendly, and it somehow feels like home anytime I visit. Cozy, welcoming and flavours I know and love. A must try!!
View on GoogleA [would come again / 還會再來] · i really like this malatang restaurant because its one of the best in CP value · i picked 5 toppings with thin potato starch noodles which was 1100 Yen as of March 2025 · i like how the meat + vegetables were same price · you choose by picking the ingredients in plastic bags · theres good ventilation inside so its not stuffy while you eat spicy (a big win compare to most malatang restaurant) · add your own garlic on the side · the bone broth was flavorful + delicious (very drinkable compared to most places) · all the ingredients tasted fresh (the staff were packaging it in the background + enjoying a conversation about skincare) · pay with cash or paypay (wish they have suica) tldr: i like this malatang restaurant because they dont skim on portions
View on GoogleIt's really delicious yet cheap, so I always come here! What I love is that you can add as much garlic and black vinegar as you want! You can choose the spice level and noodles◎ It's not priced by weight, so you just grab the toppings you like and it goes really smoothly through to cooking! Up to 5 items are included in the price; I usually add about 2 more, and I'm amazed that it's still way cheaper than other shops! Depending on the time, it can be crowded or you might have to wait for your food, but I think you just need to go when you've got time to spare. When I've got room in my stomach, I order gyoza too! It's so good I'd go every day if I could!
View on GoogleThe soup uses the basic paitan (white broth) as its base, with spiciness added on top, so the flavor foundation is paitan. Besides glass noodles, you can also choose ramen noodles or knife-cut noodles. There aren't that many kinds of toppings, and the portions are on the small side. Prices aren't very high either, and the interior is clean and compact, so I think it's an easy place to drop by for everyday meals. Besides malatang, they also have drinks and snack-style dishes to go with them.
View on GoogleJust past 2 pm on a weekday, a late lunch, and my first visit to 「四川麻辣湯 縁苑」. The system: you pick 5 toppings you like into a bowl yourself, then choose your noodles and soup. Some toppings come in small individual bags, which made them easy to pick from a hygiene standpoint too—a good impression. This time I chose 5 items, including egg, bok choy, wood ear mushroom, and meat (I forgot which kind…!). The seating inside is a bit compact, so when it's busy the closeness to your neighbors might bother you a bit, but the vibe is just right for a quick meal. Since it was my first time, I went with the classic glass noodles. I debated going for "extra hot," but chickened out for now and ordered "spice level ⑤ very hot." When the bowl arrived, it had a nice, appetizing red color! The numbing spice (Sichuan pepper) is on the table so you can add more. If you go up to extra hot, I think it's the type that'll hit your throat if you slurp carelessly. But you could really taste the solid heat and the savory spices, and it was so good I couldn't stop eating. Even the default amount filled me right up—very satisfied! The soup's flavor seems to change depending on the toppings you choose, so next time I'd like to research recommended combinations before taking it on. You pay at the end, and being able to use PayPay was convenient and helpful. Thank you for the meal!
