With a history of over 50 years since its founding, it's a renowned spot that continues to be loved by locals and has been featured in TV and other media. There are also autographs and printouts of TV screenshots. The signature dish that's practically synonymous with the shop: 韮溜湯麺 (hiryu tanmen) 栄福's special original noodles. The noodles are delicious You can choose hand-kneaded or thin noodles. Loaded with chives and pork, it's a popular bowl where the rich aroma of chives mingles with a gentle salt-based soup that's light yet full-bodied. Machi-chuka 「栄福」 has been in business for over half a century in a spot far from the station—proof that it's loved by the community.
View on GoogleVisited Friday at 1 PM. We were seated right away. We both got chashu fried rice, and shared the gyoza. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. I could see some white bits—maybe it wasn't mixed well enough? I thought so, but it was perfectly tasty. It's simple and lightly seasoned, so sprinkling on some pepper made it even better. My companion said this kind of thing is what's delicious! The gyoza had a nice kick of garlic, chives, and ginger, and the skin was chewy and delicious!
View on GoogleFirst visit for Sunday lunch at 11:40. I'd been curious about it for a while. We had a reservation, so we were shown to a table. We ordered nira-reba, fried rice, nira soba, and pork karaage. The nira-reba was delicious. The pork karaage is a popular menu item here and the batter is super tasty, but I thought it was poor value for money. Next time I'd like to visit mainly for drinks.
