Let me preface this with the fact that I am a foreigner from Los Angeles, CA in the USA. The staff was more than accommodating to me and us figuring out the language barrier. At this point in my trip I have been all over Japan from Tokyo to Osaka to Fukuoka. This has been the best food I have had so far and honestly it does not compare. The shrimp toast and the Pad Thai are miles above all of the other food I’ve had so far in Japan. Honestly I was blown away. I cannot stress how much I recommend Cafe PokaPoka !

Had the best dinner in a long time!! It was way better than i imagined, I enjoyed every bite of my meal and felt it was made with love ! The shrimp is just so good that i wanted to eat it everyday, i really hope that the restaurant will keep serving this shrimp dish it’s amazing!!! The decoration and the atmosphere is so cozy and gives me Okinawa vibes🥰 It’s 5mins from my house so I’m definitely gonna go there a lot ! ✨

We ate at 7 great restaurants during our week in Tokyo. This was the best one. Food was more than decent. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating towards our needs as we are not meat eaters. The price was very very reasonable for two people. We ate to our hearts content, it didn't cost the earth, and we left very satisfied with the treatment we received from our waitress, and the owner. We love small, intimate, and local places that cater for locals. We will be back, one day.

Our family absolutely loved Cafe POKAPOKA. Super convenient spot in Sumida with excellent food. Lots of options so there is something for everyone. The service was great as well and the atmosphere was very nice and cozy. Wish we would have found this spot sooner!

I randomly popped-in just before they closed and had the Thai fried chicken, and wow! I also got one of their hot sauces to take home, which I am having right now as type this, and wawaweeewa!
