Our visit to the Capybara Café in Tokyo was one of the most unique experiences of our trip! We had never been to a café like this before, and it was a fun and interesting way to spend part of our day. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and our family really appreciated the hands-on experience of interacting with the capybaras up close. It was amazing to see how calm and gentle they were, and we enjoyed learning more about them while spending time in the café. This is definitely not your typical café experience, which is what made it so special. If you’re looking for something different and memorable to do in Tokyo, we highly recommend a visit. It was a highlight of our trip and left us with some wonderful family memories!
View on GoogleIt's the happiest 30 minutes in a cafe ever! I've got a great company with the friendliest animal in the world. Both capybaras are very cute and amiable. The staff are almost as kind as the capybaras. They are happy to share the information of capybaras in general and the two ambassadors of friendship with us. They can take really good photos too! You need to book in advance to secure your time slot.
View on GoogleWe had so much fun meeting and petting Kohaku and Pisuke! Our reservation was at 12:30pm and it wasn’t over crowded at all, we were able to spend the whole time petting and playing with them. The staff seems to really care for them which was sweet to see :)
View on GoogleMy friend and I enjoyed our visit to this cafe, the capybaras were very cute and very calm and receptive to having people around. The workers were also very friendly and understood a good amount of english which made things easier for us. The drinks were pretty good and everything was pretty reasonably priced in our opinion. The reservation process was also pretty simple to do on their website which also provided their menu and lots of information. We would definitely come back again next time we're in Japan!
View on GoogleI was lucky to find this place and booked a session in advance. (Strongly recommend to check their website and book in advance) I arrived at 10:00 am, was guided to left my jacket and bag in the lockers on the upper floor, then read the instructions and ordered a drinks and snacks for the capybaras. Fast and efficient. People came in and out, so sometimes it was quite crowded and other times very calm. Just being there and watching them already made my day. Kohaku loves sitting on the sofa, patiently waiting for guests to feed him snacks 😂. Pisuke is quite extroverted—he walked around, sat near us, and even lay on the floor while the staff patted his butt. He looked so happy, especially when he flipped his little ears after getting snacks.
