Just a really nice one man "western food" shop. Hamburger, croquette, katsu, etc all for a very reasonable price. Make sure to check which set you want outside before going in. Also you probably need to speak or at least read Japanese. Also I don't know what he did, but the katsu was some of the best I've had.

Comfort food with nostalgic vibes and even though it’s a one man show by an elderly man the service was fast. Foreigner friendly too! Please come here to support his business! 👍🏻

A Western-style restaurant under the railway tracks, a 3-4-minute walk from Koenji Station. There's no menu inside, and you buy a meal ticket from a machine, so you need to decide using the food displays and wall menu before entering. This time I chose the B set because it included a cream croquette. At 750円 with rice and miso soup, it's an incredible bargain considering the location. Every menu item seems to be under a thousand yen, and I can only be grateful. It's a small place with only about 8 counter seats, so I'd recommend going alone or with one other person at most. The elderly owner runs everything himself, so depending on the timing, clearing up and serving may take a little while. If you don't like that, I think you'd be better off going elsewhere. It's best to come prepared to enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere, including all those things. After a short wait, the B set arrived! Hamburger steak with a fried egg, a cream croquette, and a little pasta. The tomato-flavored demi-glace sauce was sizzling on the iron plate. Every dish had the gentle flavor of an independent restaurant, and I finished it all in no time. The owner always gives you a kind word as you leave. Western-style restaurants like this are becoming rarer these days; I hope he keeps going without overdoing it.
