Listen to me. I have lived in Japan for 10 years. I have been to many Indian restaurants. And this was the most fun I have ever had at a restaurant in Japan. The service was incredible. The man is a treasure and I will be back very very soon because he was so friendly. And expressive the Japanese customers all loved him and it truely felt like you were a valued customer coming into the shop. Like I was having a bad day and this experience literally turned the entire day around so thank you to the man who works here and brings smiles to the delicious food. But now just on the food: I've been to India and this food is definitely not authentic Indian food which is normal Japan. It is most certainly on par if not better quality with any of the delicious Japanese versions of Indian food among the city. Perfect set meals with a large variety of 10 curried and the sets are available all day, not just lunch. they are very affordable and filling. Butter chicken and mutton curry were great and taste was good. Please come here. It was great

Extraordinary Momo's, fluffy Nan, well spiced and roasted Tandoori Chicken and kebab. The curry was only average in taste to me. The service is lovely.

Forced into offline dictation to draft my review, because the Rakuten Mobile signal doesn't reach into this restaurant, even though it's on the ground floor. They have Wi-Fi from SoftBank, but that was to no avail for me. There were some other Wi-Fi signals I didn't want to mess with. Town Wi-Fi wasn't helpful, either. So on with the actual review of the restaurant: About 25 seats in a somewhat linear layout, but not a narrow one. Decor is kind of hybrid izakaya and something plain, and the menu is tilted towards Japanese as well as Indian options. I suspect it has a history as a teishoku place in the Japanese style, but I asked one of the Nepali staff members (in Japanese) and he said it goes back 15 years or so because they don't get enough foreign customers. One lunch menu was Indian and the other was for teishoku set lunches. I went with a keema curry and egg set to see how far they pushed in the Japanese direction but it was pretty safely Indian. The spice level was good, though a bit slow to hit me. The naan was unusual in a kind of neutral sense, definitely not sweet nor yeasty. The rice, salad, and soup were all Japanese style, and I would say the salad dressing was above average. At first I was a bit put off by the lack of a fork, but I realized I had chopsticks. Kind of hard to form an overall impression, but I'll say it's a solid four stars.

What a pleasant surprise. It is not authentic nor localized Indian, but somehow in between. All the food was very delicious. I would definitely go again!!
