Nice, lovely Izakaya for a late-laaaate night snack. I‘m sure they are also good for an earlier dinner. But that was what I came for: a last snack and a last beer on my way home. They serve a lot of the classics. Skewers, potato salad, and other munchies. I really liked it. And staff is very nice.

Great little place for yakiton and other various izakaya dishes. This was my second visit! Service is prompt, we sat at the counter which has nice high backed seats. Menu is Japanese only which isn't a problem if you read Japanese.Will definitely be back for a 3rd visit next time I'm in the area! Smoking is allowed inside so keep that in mind if that's something that bothers you.

I came to try it because it's open late. All the skewers were tastier than I expected, and it seemed like anything you ordered would be reliably good. The other dishes were properly delicious too. It's the kind of place that makes you look forward to ordering something different next time. The drinks menu has quite a good variety too!

I went to 焼きとん 野方屋, which is very easy to reach, about a 1-minute walk along the tracks from Koenji Station. First, I ordered the yakiton set （1,300円）. It's a good-value set with a medium draft beer＋3 skewers chosen by the shop＋a daily small side dish. I also added macaroni salad separately. That day's small sides, though not shown in the photo, were zha cai and potato salad. The macaroni salad and potato salad ended up overlapping a bit, so honestly, I would have appreciated a quick mention when I ordered... The meat on the skewers was tender and easy to eat, with a slightly sweet sauce that would probably appeal to most people. The macaroni salad was more substantial than it looked—a little much for one person, and just right for 2〜3 people to share. Overall, the portions were generous, and for this price range it felt like very good value. I think it's just the place to drop in for a light drink as your first stop of the evening. As the name suggests, this is an izakaya with delicious yakiton. I got the impression they put a lot of effort into the food; personally, I found the motsuni very delicious. The prices are low and it's very close to the station, so give it a try.
