Head right from the north exit of 荻窪駅 and it's so close it takes less than ２ minutes on foot. There are several other yakitori places nearby, but when I want cheap yet tasty yakitori (or yakiton), I come here. The place is fairly small, so you can call directly to the counter to order, and there's often someone handling service too, so you don't have to worry much. Many of the staff are young, but they grill things well, so I'd recommend it. The fresh, skewered raw meat is only grilled after you order, so it's considerably tastier than a certain nearby place. There are counter seats too, making it convenient for solo drinking, and it's one of my favorite places.

🚌Stopped in during a transfer break Good value A very generous portion of sliced onion. It looks like 2 times what other places serve. Nice and crisp. The skewers are small, but the price per skewer is low, so fair enough. I ordered them salted, but the seasoning was light, so you can adjust it yourself. I thoroughly enjoyed each cut. 30 minutes all-you-can-drink ¥399(limited time) The last order at 20 minutes is strictly enforced, but I had 4 beers🍺🍺🍺🍺, so it was better value than the fixed rate. Ordered the 「ちょいのみセット」 at Sunday lunch. A drink, a small side (８分の１ of a block of chilled tofu), and ３ skewers for just under ７００円. Added ４ skewers, another highball, and thick fried tofu, for a total just under ２０００円. Thanks for the meal.

A yakiton place very close to the north exit of 荻窪駅. It's a small, homey place where I could relax over drinks even on my own.

Just plain cheap If you drink from those huge mugs, you'll get drunk in no time, so the value is great. And I'm grateful that despite being dirt cheap, the snacks are actually tasty. Kind of tsundere. It's not a place for a quiet, mellow time, but it's a strong choice when you're with subordinates who drink/eat like crazy. There were also plenty of solo customers at the counter enjoying an affordable evening drink after work, so it seems good for a quick drink too.
