I know there are indeed many good restaurants in Tokyo, but if you are ever in the neighborhood and would like a cozy and authentic Japanese experience please come here. The menu is only in Japanese but don’t worry - all the things we tried were very good and everyone is so helpful! Enjoyed it so much!
View on GoogleMy first visit to a place I'd been curious about✨ It was around 20:00 on a Friday, so it was packed with what were probably regulars, but they managed to make room for us✨ All the otoshi were delicious, and the hassaku and watercress salad was outstanding🤤 The aji fry was wonderfully fluffy, and the anago tendon too... every menu item was so appealing and delicious! The prices were reasonable too, so I could see why it's popular. I really wished I had a place like this near home. Next time I'm nearby, I'd love to make a reservation and stop in.
View on GoogleOn Google Maps, I searched for “Japanese cuisine” and tried a place that came up Today's simmered shellfish 980円 Assorted sashimi (2 servings) 3000円 Chef's whim salad (peach and mizunasu) 880円 Miso-marinated cream cheese 580円 Corn kakiage 880円 The sake included 雪の芽舎, 満天星, 阿部勘, and more I only found out afterward from reading the comments that the anago is supposed to be good I didn't order it, so I wish I'd read the comments properly before going Since I didn't have rice, I wasn't particularly full, so a little over 5000円 per person felt slightly pricey Maybe ordering a course would have been better ーーーーー 【打ち香る亭】 🇯🇵 東京都杉並区阿佐谷北1-26-7 🛤️Asagaya Station north exit 4 minutes on foot 🕰️ Tuesday・Wednesday・Thursday・Friday・Saturday・public holidays・days before public holidays・days after public holidays 17:00 - 00:00 😴Sunday・Monday regular closing days 💴Cards・electronic money・QR code payments accepted ーーーーー ☆This information is based on what I was told at the restaurant when I visited, plus Tabelog and Google Maps information, so please confirm the details with the restaurant #東京グルメ #一期一会グルメ #foodie #gourmet #阿佐ヶ谷 #打ち香る亭 #日本料理
View on Google【Anago in every form and lukewarm sake. Relax over thoughtfully prepared food and drinks.】 A friend in Asagaya invited me to an izakaya known for its delicious anago. Besides anago, they have a great selection of bites that go with sake, which was quite promising. Since we were there, we mainly ordered anago, then tried some other dishes that caught our eye. We enjoyed anago prepared in different ways, from usuzukuri to shirayaki and kabayaki. Wow, delicious. I prefer anago to unagi because I find it easier to eat. The recommended Shamo Rock had irresistible springiness and savory flavor. They also take the extra step of smoking the mizudako, and the buri shabu is swished in a broth containing grated daikon, which lets the flavors come together beautifully. The anago don to finish was sweet and savory, thick and meaty, and truly delicious! It's great that you can choose chilled or lukewarm sake! You can also order from half a go, so it's ideal when you want to try different kinds or are in a small group. This time, we tried various lukewarm sake. The anago is delicious, of course, but every dish here tastes great. And the prices are indeed more affordable than in central Tokyo. They also have a very extensive sake selection, and I think it's a really good restaurant. Recommended for anago lovers and sake lovers (especially those who like lukewarm sake)!
View on GoogleThey make their dashi properly, and the cooking is careful and thoughtful. The fried dishes are especially delicious: crisp outside without being at all greasy inside. The menu doesn't offer much that's particularly new, and I don't think the sashimi is anything special, but basically every dish is very refined and delicious! That said, I find the service somewhat intimidating. Maybe they treat different customers differently, though...
