This time, I hit up Koenji! This place, "Taro-ken," is open 24 hours a day, every day! That alone is already awesome! It’s basically a standing-only spot, but there are a few table seats, so it works for groups of 3 or 4! Even though it was a late-night raid, the place was packed with taxi drivers and folks wrapping up their night out! That’s impressive! After buying my meal ticket, my half-size curry was out in just 20 seconds! That’s blazing fast! It’s a speed that reminds me of Kenta-senpai’s beloved “Kawasaki Z400FX”! To be honest, I was totally blown away! Just as I was about to dig into the curry, the ramen arrived! This speed is off the charts… There’s no other way to describe it than the masterful craftsmanship of the kitchen staff. They looked just like the Wind God and the Thunder God! Now, as for the curry, it was sweet and had that classic, old-school flavor that anyone would love. I polished it off in no time! The ramen features straight, thin noodles, chashu pork, wakame seaweed, green onions, and menma bamboo shoots. It’s got that classic soy sauce ramen vibe! It might even be good after a night out! I left the shop completely satisfied. It’s such a blessing to be able to enjoy this flavor 24 hours a day! Anyway, this ramen shop is absolutely top-notch!
View on GoogleA 24-hour standing ramen restaurant near Shin-Koenji Station. Even after 6:00 a.m., several customers are eating ramen. There is a standing counter and a few table seats, but the interior is small and has a Showa-era atmosphere. However, the ramen has a delicious chicken broth and the taste of old-fashioned Chinese noodles. The curry set seems to be a specialty, but we could not eat it in the morning,
View on GoogleA standing ramen shop open even in dawn time. You will order your food where you are standing in. If you are large group you can have a room with tables.
View on GoogleAmazing gem! The owner is wonderful and kind. Willing to help navigate the menu for us lost American foreigners who did not know what to do. Even got us free drinks from the vending machine. This place is definitely memorable and worth checking out. The ramen and curry are superb.
View on GoogleAs a first timer for Japanese ramen I loved it all the people were nice and I didn't wait too long for my ramen. even though I didn't understand how the machine worked and thought the yen splitter was where you entered the money and the employee helped me out even though I'm not so good with the language XD. Anyways tasty ramen if it's your first time it's good stuff try it all out and you will be satisfied with the amount you get.
