Between miso and orochon, I'd recommend the miso I feel like the toppings, broth, and noodles are different at branches 1 and 3. I suppose it's a place to enjoy an old-time atmosphere

【2024.4】 I had the orochon ramen (650円). The soup combines a concentrated tonkotsu shoyu base with a clean chili-pepper heat. The creamy broth softens the spiciness, making it just right and easy to enjoy. The noodles are medium-thin and slightly soft. The chashu is thick, large, and satisfying. Its light seasoning fits the rich broth perfectly. Apparently there are 200g of bean sprouts. The wood ear mushrooms have a fluffy, springy texture that provides an excellent accent. Apparently it opened 48 years ago, and the interior had the kind of comfortable atmosphere only a long-established place can offer.

The same dependable flavor, unbelievably cheap snacks. The lady's warmth, and the powerful ramen. As someone who used to live in Koenji, this is still a reason for me to visit. Opening time has changed to 18:00.

It's been around for ages; when someone is seated, you can't pass behind them—what older people used to call a nagaya. With simple toppings of heaped bean sprouts, simmered pork, and wood ear mushrooms, the shop specializes in tonkotsu ramen and spicy tantan. There used to be 3 locations, but now only this one and the shop along Azuma-dori, where you can also have yakiniku, remain. The gyoza are quite tasty and cheap at 7 pieces @250, with plenty of garlic, so I recommend them. At this shop, you eat your ramen and leave promptly. If you want to linger over drinks and snacks, go to branch 3.
