Bright and cheerful little cafe with five counter seats on a corner where I haven't noticed it. Looks new, but reviews say it's been here for a year or so. Current Japanese song is IDed as "I Only Care About You" by Teresa Teng. Not a big menu and no Wi-Fi. A caution about payment as I arrived, but cash is fine. Coffee is above average and I can call it a high four stars.

I went there for the panna cotta, but ordered the ジャスミンパンナコッタ because it was unusual. The elegant panna cotta has a wonderfully fragrant jasmine aroma. Pouring the separately served milk peach sauce over it for a change of flavor adds the fruitiness of peach, giving it a taste reminiscent of peach jasmine tea. The panna cotta has a slightly springy, pleasantly chewy texture. I also ordered a café au lait. Even without sugar, it was mellow and low in acidity, and as a coffee beginner I was impressed by how easy it was to drink. (Apparently they source it from a nearby coffee shop……) The owner is gentle and friendly, and will casually strike up a conversation when the cafe isn't busy. The French toast looked delicious too, so I'd like to order it on my next visit.

Around 15:00, I had the limited-time ダブルベリーのフレンチトースト, ジャスミンパンナコッタ, and a café latte. There aren't many seats, and it was 15:00 on a day off, so I waited a little, but the delicious food was worth the wait! The jasmine panna cotta in particular is unusual, and I felt it was a flavor you could only find here. The jasmine flavor comes through clearly, and the panna cotta is mellow and delicious. The French toast's flavor had soaked thoroughly into the bread, and the brûlée was delicious too! The panna cotta was truly exceptional, so I'd really like everyone to try it alongside the French toast.

I visited 「Surnom」, a 2-minute walk from the north exit of 西荻窪 Station! It's a small, counter-only shop, but you can enjoy French toast made with great care🙌 What I ordered フレンチトースト プレーン（1,250円） Iced coffee（500円） Each piece of French toast is carefully cooked to order, with a fragrant, toasted surface and a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth interior🥹 It's not overly sweet, and the ingredients' flavors really come through—so good😍 Apparently the iced coffee uses beans from 「豆の木」, a well-known coffee shop in 西荻窪. Its clean bitterness and lovely aroma make it a perfect match for the French toast! You can really feel the shop's love for 西荻! This might have been the best French toast I've ever eaten. Especially the savory French toast!! Apparently the chocolate pudding is delicious too, so I'd like to go again.
