Completed in 1969 as the "Suginami Ward Science Education Center" to promote science education for pupils and students at Suginami Ward schools. Renamed the "Suginami Ward Science Museum" in 2002. Closed at the end of March 2016 due to the aging of its facilities and equipment. Kids at Suginami Ward elementary schools back in the day had field-trip classes here and watched the planetarium.
